10 Active WWE Wrestlers With The Most PPV Appearances

Legendary wrestlers like The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho and The Big Show had hundreds of WWE pay-per-view matches. However, they have since retired from their in-ring careers, or have moved on to other endeavors, changing up the list of active WWE stars who have made the most pay-per-view appearances.

After spending many years working for WWE, certain wrestlers have made appearances at dozens of PPVs, which is evidence of their consistency and commitment to the promotion. It's worth mentioning that talents like Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Sheamus will continue to climb the ranks and will soon be on this list. But for now, these are the 10 active WWE wrestlers with the most PPV appearances.

10 Jeff Hardy (100)

Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy's first WWE PPV appearance was on June 27, 1999 at King Of The Ring 1999. That night, he teamed with his brother Matt Hardy to defeat Christian and Edge.

More than 20 years later, Jeff Hardy is still wrestling for WWE, but now he has become a true legend, and arguably the biggest risk-taker in wrestling history. His most recent PPV appearance was at Elimination Chamber 2021, when he wrestled AJ Styles, Kofi Kingston, Randy Orton, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre, who was the winner.

9 Dolph Ziggler (108)

dolph ziggler

Dolph Ziggler has appeared in 108 PPVs, unfortunately with more losses than wins. His first PPV match was against Shawn Michaels and Triple H at Vengeance 2006, when he was called Nicky and was part of The Spirit Squad along with Johnny, Kenny, Mikey and Mitch.

Ziggler's latest PPV appearance was at WrestleMania Backlash, where he and Robert Roode lost the SmackDown Tag Team Titles to Rey and Dominik Mysterio.

8 Rey Mysterio (113)

Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio has been in the business since 1992 and has had an illustrious career that has seen him become one of the greatest luchadores of all time. Mysterio came to WWE in 2002 and his first PPV appearance was at SummerSlam 2002, when he put on a clinic in his match against Kurt Angle.

The biggest PPV victory in Rey Mysterio's career was at WrestleMania 22, when he defeated Kurt Angle and Randy Orton to become World Heavyweight Champion for the first time in his career.

7 Kofi Kingston (116)

Kofi Kingston WrestleMania 35

The entire WWE Universe remembers KofiMania, one of the most incredible runs to the WWE Championship. Kofi Kingston defeated Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35 to win the gold and make his dream come true.

With that said, Kofi Kingston has had a great WWE career, mostly excelling as a tag team wrestler. He has had 116 PPV matches, doing a good job most of the time. However, his most recent PPV appearance wasn't very good to say the least, as he was totally destroyed by Bobby Lashley at Money In The Bank 2021.

6 The Miz (121)

At WrestleMania Backlash, The Miz made his 121st PPV appearance, though it wasn't memorable to say the least. The Miz lost to Damien Priest in a zombie-infested Lumberjack match, which is undoubtedly a candidate for worst match of 2021.

However, it hasn't all been bad for The Miz, as he has 41 wins at pay-per-view events. The Miz's last win was at Elimination Chamber 2021, where he cashed in his Money In The Bank contract and defeated Drew McIntyre to become WWE Champion.

5 Edge (133)

WWE Edge

Edge's first WWE PPV appearance was at SummerSlam 1998, when he joined forces with Sable to defeat Jacqueline and Marc Mero in a mixed tag team match. 23 years later, the Rated R Superstar is scheduled to face off against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam 2021.

Edge's career has been truly admirable. Best of all, at 47 years of age, he is still one of the best wrestlers out there, so he can remain in the company for some more time and keep adding to his PPV total.

4 John Cena (162)

John Cena

At Vengeance 2002, John Cena made his PPV debut defeating none other than Chris Jericho. Since then, Super Cena has won 93 PPV matches; in fact, he is one of the wrestlers with the most PPV wins in WWE history.

John Cena has had several unforgettable PPV moments, such as his victory against The Rock at WrestleMania 29 or his victory against Edge, Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton in that epic fatal four-way match at Backlash 2007. Next up is The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, at SummerSlam 2021.

3 Triple H (173)

Triple H

Triple H has not had a PPV match since Super ShowDown 2019, where he lost to Randy Orton. However, although he may not be full-time, he is still a contracted WWE wrestler, so he makes the list.

Triple H's first PPV appearance was at SummerSlam 1995. Back then, the wrestler better known as Hunter Hearst Helmsley defeated Bob Holly. That night HHH showed his potential, although no one thought he would become one of the greatest wrestlers in the history of the company, contributing both from the ring and from the office.

2 Randy Orton (174)

Randy Orton WrestleMania 37

Speaking of the greatest wrestlers in WWE history, next up on the list is "The Viper" Randy Orton, who so far has made 174 PPV appearances.

Randy Orton's first PPV was at SummerSlam 2003, when he participated in an Elimination Chamber match against Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Goldberg, Kevin Nash and Triple H, who was the winner. 18 years later, Randy is still in outstanding physical shape, although his two most recent PPV appearances have been mediocre, but that's on WWE and its weird booking of his feud with The Fiend and Alexa Bliss.

1 Kane (176)

Kane

WWE hall of famer Kane is in the twilight of his career, but he is not retired yet. The Big Red Machine made a surprise appearance at the 2021 Royal Rumble match, which was his 176th PPV appearance and his first WWE match since 2018.

Kane is a true legend, and hands down one of the most iconic characters in wrestling history. At 54 years of age, it is not too late for Kane to have one last WWE pay-per-view match, to say goodbye properly to the fans.
