10 Current Wrestlers In Dire Need Of A New Look
Wrestlers can often benefit from a change in their appearance. Sometimes freshening up one's look benefits their self-esteem and confidence and in some cases, it really rejuvenates the person; even though appearance is not everything. Wrestlers especially have a big task in maintaining a great appearance in and out of the ring.

In WWE, the wrestlers need permission and approval to change their appearance; marketing and merchandising being two big reasons why. Other wrestling companies may be more generous in controlling their talents' appearance but no matter where they fight, some stars are in dire need of a new look.
10 Otis
Otis drew comparisons to the late comedian Chris Farley because of his appearance, mannerisms, and speech. It was a comical comparison but one that drew Otis much love. He is a little under six-feet tall and around 330 pounds.
Otis switched from singlet to trunks but some of the singlets were low-cut and sometimes he wears trunks and a high-cut shirt or no shirt to emphasize his gut. Fans get it, he has a belly. Great! Especially with Otis being a Money In The Bank briefcase holder at one time, the fat joke forcing needs to stop.
9 Baron Corbin
King Corbin is riding that moniker after winning the 2019 King of the Ring tournament. Corbin came up through NXT and in the first few years of his main roster, he competed in a tank top and camouflage pants; a little generic but acceptable.
Baron became "Constable" Corbin in 2018, who shaved his head and began wearing and fighting in casual pants and a button-up shirt. After becoming King, Corbin began wearing a crown and cape on top of a tank top and tights. The tank and tights are still generic but please...get rid of the King paraphernalia! It gets, and got, stale incredibly fast.
8 Shorty G
One of the acts of King Corbin was changing the identity of Chad Gable, former NXT and SmackDown Tag Team Champion who competed in the 2012 Summer Games in wrestling, to Shorty G. Gable met Corbin in the finals of the 2019 King of the Ring tournament and lost but would try to get revenge on Corbin going forward.

As Gable was getting under the skin of Corbin, the King found humor in his foe's height and requested he referred to as "Shorty Gable," later shortened to Shorty G which stuck. Shorty would switch from a singlet to trunks. He finally seems to be getting back to his proper name and a change in his look is also needed.
7 Dolph Ziggler
"The Show-Off" Dolph Ziggler's fifteen minutes of fame came and went in 2013 after winning the World Heavyweight Championship. It was then when he began growing out his hair into that of an '80s metal band member and would switch from trunks to tights a few years later.
Sometimes the simple change of trunks to tights and vice versa makes a noticeable difference but it barely did for Ziggler. There is nothing special about Dolph's look anymore, though at one time his hair and abs were put on notice. It would be great to see Dolph get a crew cut, reverting back to his collegiate days, and switch back to trunks.
6 Natalya
The second-generation star and future Hall Of Famer Natalya has mostly kept the same look for the past decade; other than slight changes in her attire. She started off in WWE with red hair but would dye it to blonde. Natalya has also used the pink and black colors, skull logos, and similar theme music that her dad Jim Neidhart and uncle Bret Hart used.

Although the homage to The Hart Foundation is fantastic, Natalya really never made an identity for herself. She has done tremendously in the business but she was pigeonholed into being Anvil's daughter and also as a cat lady. Natalya should maybe go back to being a redhead, find new colors and music, and attempt to break out as her own person.
5 Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair is also guilty of the same sin as Natalya in that the second generation wrestler is basing her appearance, mannerisms, and more on that of her father. On one hand, it is great for Charlotte to be paying homage to her legendary father and like Natalya with Neidhart and Bret, it keeps their legacy and identity going.
The problem is, Charlotte is also not really making her own unique identity. She has done promos saying she does not want to be seen as "Ric Flair's daughter" but has similar boots and music, "woos" like her dad, and has a similar finisher. Charlotte has done fantastic but there really is no originality in her look and a freshening of everything would be nice.
4 AJ Styles
AJ Styles' appearance in WWE has not really changed since joining in 2016. AJ has kept a beard and his hair long for many years. His hair has grown since debuting but that is really it besides changes in the design of his tights. AJ's hair was mocked in 2016 thanks to Chris Jericho who called it, "stupid, soccer mom hair."
AJ may not want to go back to his early look of short hair and biker shorts but the grungy, gritty look he had near the end of his run in TNA (now Impact) Wrestling and in NJPW would be a good change. It may not be much but AJ's might benefit from a refresher especially with his career winding down.
3 Damian Priest
The former Punishment Martinez has seemingly become comfortable on the NXT roster. Damian Priest had a very good title defense at NXT TakeOver 31 against Johnny Gargano for the NXT North American Championship that most likely a test for future NXT Championship fights with Gargano being a former champion and title contender.
Priest's attire is pants with chains and boots, while he makes his entrance with a vest. The pants are similar to a rockstar's but Priest does not play a rockstar character so it is out of place. A big problem is that this is very similar to Baron Corbin's prior look, hair, and attire. Old is not new here.
2 Mustafa Ali
Mustafa Ali performs in tights and boots with colored stripes but mostly being black. Now being able to walk with his Retribution stablemates who wear black, Ali is most likely going to make this switch.
They do not have the same build, face, and skin tone, but Mustafa Ali bears some resemblance to Seth Rollins, including ring attire and entrance attire from when Rollins wore a vest. If you quickly tune in or are a casual fan you may not be able to tell them apart right away. For his heel turn, Ali might want to cut his hair short like he had it on the indies.
1 Lacey Evans
Once labeled as "The Lady of NXT" who graduated to "The Lady of WWE," Lacey Evans' sassy Southern belle character had some potential at first. Used in 2019 as WWE's "Rosie The Riveter" for merchandise, Lacey's 1950's pin-up girl inspired attire is very passe.
The look did not click with fans even though it was something new and fresh that WWE tried to run with. Evans can be a nasty heel on the mic and can become very sharp in the ring but it is doubtful that fans will strongly get behind her if she is still stuck in the '50s. Even if '50s attire did come into style, it was just be a phase, and Evans will be old news.
