10 Intergender WWE Matches Everyone Forgot About

As the Women’s Evolution reaches new apexes every day, some promotions have been open to bringing back Intergender Matches. Currently, Impact’s Tessa Blanchard is actually the number one contender for Sami Callahan’s Impact World Title. While women challenging for men’s titles has yet to happen, the company has had plenty of Intergender Matches over the years.

With this past year’s Extreme Rules tag match between Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch against Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans, the company is at least open to having some form of Intergender Matches, if you’re into that form of sports entertainment. Here are 10 Intergender WWE Matches Everyone Forgot About.

10 The Macho King And The Sensational Queen Vs. Dusty Rhodes And Sapphire

The very first Intergender match in WWE history took place as part of WrestleMania VI. Besides the Ultimate Challenge headlining the show, the American Dream against Randy Savage with their respective valets, Sapphire and Sherri as their partners.

Dream was able to one-up the Macho Man by introducing Miss Elizabeth to be in his and Sapphire’s corner for the match; which infuriated Savage, which must’ve helped Dream’s victory.

9 Dean Malenko Vs. Lita

Dean Malenko had a big crush on Lita (can anyone blame the Iceman?!). All he wanted was for the fiery redhead to give him a chance. However, she clearly had no interest. she showed it by luring The Man Of 1000 Holds into an assault from Matt Hardy.

Malenko would continue to assault Lita (a disturbing twist on supposed playground tropes). The future Hall Of Fame Diva challenged Malenko to a match which again saw Hardy interfere, smacking Malenko with a chair allowing his then-girlfriend to defeat the Iceman.

8 X-Pac And Chyna Vs. Mark Henry

You might think that this one took place while The World’s Strongest Man was trying to court the Ninth Wonder Of The World. While that wasn’t the case, anytime the Nation and DX got together it was something fun to see. Chyna had asked for this handicapped match on Raw.

Mark Henry heaved X-Pac around and out of the ring before Chyna was tagged in. She got a few good licks in before attempting a high-cross body from the second rope. In one fell swoop, Henry grabbed her out of the air and delivered a big power slam to end the match.

7 Doink And Dink Vs. Bam Bam Bigelow And Luna Vachon

For weeks, WWE’s merry prankster were playing games and creating laughs at the expense of Bam Bam Bigelow. While it made the fans laugh, you’d be none too pleased if someone put out a broom for you to take a spillover.

All of the pranks and all of substitute Doinks couldn’t save the clown for what awaited him at WrestleMania X; a mixed tag between the two clowns, Bam Bam and Luna Vachon. After they handily defeated Doink and Dink, they turned their attention to Dink for the post-match.

6 Molly Holly Vs. Crash Holly

Cousins fight every now and again, don’t they? The Holly Cousins fight a little more than every now and again. But when the trio started a feud with the Dudleys, Molly and Spike started getting a little too close. Both teams tried to put a stop to it. Crash went so far as wrestling a match with Molly on Raw.

The match was a back and forth contest between two similarly sized superstars. Crash delivered a few devastating moves, but Molly was trained by Randy Savage for crying out loud! That plus a distraction from a Jacqueline helped the fairer Holly cousin to win the match.

5 Marc Mero And Sable Vs. Goldust And Luna Vachon

Marc Mero has gotten incredibly jealous of his wife’s mega popularity. To combat his insecurities, he started palling around with Goldust and Luna Vachon. Luna had no issue going after Sable on a near-constant basis.

Mero didn’t seem to mind until Goldust put his hands on his wife. It all led to the two couples going at it at WrestleMania XIV. While Luna grew up in the business, the fans were all waiting for the big moment when Sable plowed her right over with a Sable Bomb and a TKO for the 1-2-3.

4 Beulah McGillicutty Vs. Bill Alfonso

Out of all of the blood and guts spilled in ECW, the worst would be between Beulah McGillicutty and Bill Alfonso. As the rumors go, Fonzie - who everyone loved, was revealed to be a mole helping WCW.

In a last-ditch effort to keep the job, this match was set up. The match was barely ten minutes and Fonzie bled buckets and earned back the respect and adoration he had lost.

3 Jaqueline Vs. Chavo Guerrero

Very few women wrestlers earned the respect of the entire locker room like Miss Jacqueline had. The Hall Of Famer was tough as nails and a great performer. She took on both women and men throughout her entire career.

In WCW, she was booked to defeat Disco Inferno, but he balked at the idea. Several years later, back in the WWE, Chavo Guerrero did what was best for business and had no issue losing to the petite powerhouse. She defeated Chavo for the Cruiserweight title.

2 Chris Jericho Vs. Chyna

At the time of the Chris Jericho and Chyna’s feud, the Degenerate Hall Of Famer was one of the biggest stars in the company and the future youngest AEW champion was still finding his footing in the WWE.

Even Y2J himself has cited his program with Chyna as what helped get him over in the company. At Armageddon’99, the two fought for Chyna’s Intercontinental Title. Chyna wound up tapping to the Walls Of Jericho after fighting the good fight.

1 Team Xtreme Vs. T And A

As Trish and Lita were rising up to the exalted status, they helped their respective tag teams in a huge way. Since they were both interfering in the Hardy vs. T and A matches anyway, the six superstars had a match at Fully Loaded 2000.

The match is one of the many during the Attitude Era that helped cement Team Xtreme as one of most over acts during the time, almost as much as The Rock or Austin. The fans went bananas for Lita once she came in and cleaned house.
