10 Things Fans Wish WWE Did Differently (That Vince McMahon Won't Change)
For nearly 40 years, the WWE has been the universally accepted standard of excellence in Sports Entertainment. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement. It’s hard to change not just Vince McMahon’s mind, but the direction of the company as well. The WWE is a billion-dollar industry that constantly has ideas and characters locked in for branding purposes, and that’s even harder to change once products are being produced.

10 Times Vince McMahon Was The Creepiest Boss
Even for the members of the WWE Universe that understand that concept, that doesn’t mean that the fans don’t wish things could be different. But when everyone keeps throwing copious amounts of money at the company, it will be hard to change.
10 Push Women’s Tag Teams
Initially, this was going to be about tag teams in general, but with teams like RK-Bro, The Usos, Alpha Academy, and the Street Profits, the focus is squarely back on the men’s tag team division.
Unfortunately, the women’s tag team division has not gotten nearly as much love. Even the division’s tag team champions walked out, reportedly based on that lack of focus. Hopefully, even if it's just to stick it to the two superstars, Vince puts a focus on the Women's Tag Titles like never before.
9 Focus On The Midcard Titles
Throughout their history, both the Intercontinental and U.S. championships have been a tremendous part of the WWE and before that NWA/WCW midcard.

Some of the biggest Hall Of Famers in the history of wrestling have had one or either of those titles around their waist. But this year, neither title even got a WrestleMania spot. The greatest matches of all time have taken place for those titles, and they deserve a lot more respect than they’re given.
8 Less Focus On Part-Timers
Nowadays, this one isn’t as prevalent as it used to be. But with the recent news that the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is going to be more of a part-time competitor, brings back a vision of a few years ago where Brock Lesnar held the Universal title captive due to seldom appearing.
There are plenty of guys on the roster and no need to focus on part-timers as much as the WWE does.
7 Leave Saudi Arabia Behind
While it can certainly be inspiring to see barriers being broken like the women on a poster in the desert kingdom of Saudi Arabia, there are still plenty of fans that don’t agree with WWE being in the country due to the kingdom’s politics.
But more importantly as far as the in ring product is concerned, even with the few title changes that have happened, and even after having a PPV there, just about every Saudi show is just a glorified house show.
6 Drop Silly Names
For the people who have seen Spaceballs, Vince is sort of like Yogurt - “merchandising, merchandising, merchandising.” While we probably won’t see a WWE Flamethrower anytime soon, he is all about branding, branding, branding and branding.

Everyone across all the WWE rosters is subject to either winding up with half of a name or questionable name change that fans groan about - Butch and Gunther for the win perhaps as the most recent worst one, or perhaps Max Du-PRI?
5 Lose The Script
One of the reasons that some fans have chosen AEW over WWE is the fact that the competition is a lot less produced. A LOT. LESS. PRODUCED. Scripted promos from people who might be amazing in the ring but are not trained actors sound exactly like what they are, completely scripted.
While no one is saying “suffering succotash,” it would be much nicer to see real passion elicited. But it’s hard to showcase real emotion when someone is being handed ridiculous nonsense to say.
4 Questionable Releases
None of want to lose a job or see anyone we know lose their job. But with a huge roster, every so often the WWE has to let go of some wrestlers from time to time. After all they’re not using them, free up some funds and let those superstars go somewhere else to make their fame and fortune. But it’s the questionable ones the make fans heads burst.
The Fiend, Keith Lee, Ruby Soho, Karrion Kross, and Cesaro immediately come to mind - superstars that either were top tier talents or talents fans believed were more deserving about being top tier superstars.
3 NXT 2.0
Last year, after Triple H went down with his massive heart trouble, his father-in-law swept in and completely changed the black and gold brand to something resembling a Jackson Pollock painting. The color scheme wasn’t the only change either. McMahon and his creative team took Bron Breakker’s chainsaw to anything and everything that remotely looked like Hunter’s NXT.
While a lot of this roster have the looks and the talent to be great one day, right not they’re complete green as grass and there are no veterans to lead them and show them the way.
2 Open The Forbidden Door
Every so often WWE doesn’t mind working with another promotion, but it’s really time to smash down The Forbidden Door. Yes they’re the number one game in town, but no one is directly competing with the WWE unless Vince decides that someone is competing with the WWE (re: WWE moved NXT to Wednesdays where AEW is).
Since no one and no competition is ever going to put a corporation like WWE out of business, it’s time for them to open the forbidden door and give the world the kind of dream matches that fans constantly clamor for.
1 Vince McMahon Retires
A lot of the changes that plenty of fans think would be positive ones both for entire industry and WWE at large would in theory only come should Vince McMahon ever choose to retire. But that is probably the hardest change of all to make happen.
Despite being close to 80 years old, The Chairman shows not one sign of stepping away. Heck, the guy just “wrestled” a WrestleMania match this year! The chances of him leaving Gorilla and the Boardroom to enjoy more time with his grandkids is actually less likely than a guy like CM Punk returning.
