10 TNA Wrestling Tag Teams That Disappeared Into Oblivion

It doesn't really feel like it, but Impact Wrestling has been around for over 20 years now. During that time, their tag team division has seen some incredible duos dominate. Some of the greatest TNA tag teams ever include LAX, Beer Money Inc., Team 3D, and more. However, we're not taking a look at those teams.

No, instead we're reflecting upon forgotten teams of the past. These ten tag teams might've had some success in Impact Wrestling, but that doesn't mean they were very memorable. It didn't help that at some point along the way, one, or both of the tag partners disappeared from the wrestling world.

10 Red Shirt Security

THE RED SHIRT SECURITY

This tag team faded into obscurity for a very good reason, and it was because their gimmick was terrible. The team of Kevin Northcutt, Joe Legend, and Ryan Wilson were essentially security guards. Yes, seriously.

The two even had a brief run with the NWA/TNA Tag Team Titles in 2003, but they weren't long for the company. They left in 2004, and all the men involved didn't do anything major past this tag team.

9 The Naturals

The Naturals

The team of Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens made up The Naturals. The two were brought into Impact Wrestling in late 2003, and quickly found success as one of the premier groups for the upstart company.

They won the NWA/TNA Tag Team Championships on three occasions but left the company in 2007. While they later had a cup of coffee with the WWE, these two didn't really do much beyond their time in Impact.

8 Chris Harris and Elix Skipper

Many fans likely don't even know that these two early Impact stars were paired together. In 2004, the two were paired together against the aforementioned Naturals due to their own partners being out due to injury. At the time, Elix Skipper was with Triple X, while Chris Harris was with America's Most Wanted.

The two even had a run with tag team gold, but it was incredibly brief. Sadly, this team is largely forgotten due to Skipper himself being forgotten. The high-flyer retired in 2009 and has barely been seen since.

7 The Johnsons

The Johnsons coming to the ring in TNA.

If one has forgotten The Johnsons, they're likely not alone. In the summer of 2002, the Shane Twins, who would later have a run in the WWE, debuted in Impact Wrestling. Their gimmick was that they were wrestling penises.

They only lasted a few weeks in the company, which was for the best. After this, they had the aforementioned brief stint in the WWE but were released and have barely been seen since the late 2000s.

6 The Harris Brothers

The Harris Twins Cropped

It's odd that The Harris Brothers are a largely forgotten tag team because they've wrestled everywhere. Having had stints in WWE, WCW, ECW, as well as Impact, they're rarely discussed today. Granted, having SS tattoos on their arms didn't help their legacy.

Still, these two pretty much fell off the face of the earth after leaving Impact in the mid-2000s. It didn't help that they had a very generic biker gimmick.

5 Ink Inc.

Ink Inc.

Ink Inc. was a tag team comprised of Shannon Moore, Jesse Neal, and their valet, Toxxin. Essentially, they had one thing in common, their tattoos, hence the name. They only spent around a year and a half teaming together.

Furthermore, this was essentially one of the last major things that Moore and Neal did in their careers. As of now, the two haven't even wrestled in the last year or so. The last time they did, it was small, indie appearances.

4 Mexican America

Mexican America

Hernandez was a part of one of the best tag teams in Impact history, but also one of the worst. Unfortunately, his time with Anarquia would be the latter, as they helped lead Mexican America from 2011 to 2012.

Flanked by Sarita and Rosita (later, Zelina Vega), these two had no chemistry. While Hernandez continues to wrestle until this day, Anarquia disappeared from the wrestling world in the mid-2010s and hasn't been seen since.

3 D'Lo Brown and Gran Apolo

D'Lo Brown and Apolo

It might be a stretch to say that these two completely disappeared, but they're not around much today. In the spring of 2004, D'Lo Brown and Gran Apolo began teaming together and even had a brief run with the gold.

However, their reign only lasted around a week. These days, both men are semi-retired and aren't seen often, with that especially being the case for Apolo.

2 Serotonin

Raven in TNA

Raven has had too many factions to count over the years. Still, the most forgettable is TNA's Serotonin which started in late 2006 and lasted for around a year. The group saw Raven lead Havok, Kaz, and Martyr.

This group fell apart quickly and hasn't been remembered since 2007. It didn't help that Raven has been in semi-retirement since 2008, while Havok and Martyr did nothing of substance following their time in this group.

1 Disciples of the New Church

Disciples of the New Church

The Disciples of the New Church was one of TNA's earliest major stables, springing up in June 2002. Led by Father James Mitchell, they had a massive team comprised of Mike Awesome, Shane Douglas, Kobain, Brian Lee, Malice, Sinn, Slash, Tempest, and Vampiro.

While some of those names are around even today, just as many disappeared into oblivion in the mid-2000s. For what it's worth, many likely don't even remember this team existing to begin with.
