5 Times Randy Orton Was A Complete Jerk On-Screen (& 5 Times He Was One In Real Life)
Randy Orton is one of the most successful wrestlers in the history of the pro wrestling industry as the Viper went on to have a legendary career inside the ring and captured 14 world championships in WWE in the process.
While he might be a respected member of the current WWE roster, the same cannot be said about the Legend Killer during his early days in the business. He was reportedly a menace both inside and outside a ring and made life difficult for those who came in his way.

With that said, let's take a look at five times Randy Orton was a jerk inside the ring and five times he was one in real-life.
10 Real Life - Trashes A Hotel Room
As mentioned earlier, Randy Orton was a total menace during his early days in the business, and he took it to the next level during WWE's European tour back in 2007.
The young Legend Killer had a bit too much to drink that day and was found passed out inside his hotel room, which looked like it was hit by a tornado. The damages reportedly came to around $50,000, and along with making him pay for the damages from his own pocket, WWE also sent him home due to unprofessional conduct.
9 On-Screen - RKO on Stacy Keibler
Randy Orton entered into an on-screen relationship with Stacy Keibler in 2005, which was also the time when he chose to start a rivalry with The Undertaker.
Orton took the advice Superstar Billy Graham gave him too seriously and decided to set himself apart from the other wrestlers by ending The Deadman's WrestleMania undefeated streak.
However, he needed a proper heel turn to get himself mentally prepared for the battle against The Deadman, and he chose to do it at the expense of his on-screen girlfriend when he hit an RKO on an unsuspecting Stacy Keibler and solidified his turn.
8 Real Life - Going AWOL
After graduating from Hazelwood Central High School in St. Louis, Missouri, Randy Orton enlisted with the US Marines. But The Viper wasn't a good cadet as ended up receiving a bad conduct discharge in 1999 after going AWOL on two occasions and for disobeying a direct order from a commanding officer.

He got convicted under a special court-martial and spent 38 days in the brig at Camp Pendleton. It became the reason behind him not being able to star in The Marine movie in 2006, and the opportunity went to John Cena instead.
7 On-Screen - Slapping The Undertaker
After making his intentions clear by making an example out of his on-screen girlfriend, Randy Orton finally got inside The Undertaker's head and made him accept his challenge for a match at WrestleMania 21.
WWE built up the match to perfection, and The Legend Killer gave his full efforts in making the storyline look as legit as possible. He took things to a personal level with the Deadman during a contract signing segment between the two on the March 17, 2005, episode of SmackDown.
Randy Orton disrespected the legendary Undertaker by slapping him across the face and took things to a whole different level.
6 Real Life - Shooting Fireworks On Co-Worker's Car
Randy Orton was quite the prankster during his early days in the company and went overboard with his antics on certain occasions. Maria Kanellis recalled the instance when she was traveling with Carlito and Umaga to the next town in the same car following an event.
Orton spotted them at the right time and chose to showcase his prankster brilliance by shooting fireworks towards their car. The stunt could've turned out to be a dangerous encounter, but luckily no one got hurt, but this turned out into one of the instances which painted Orton as immature during those days.
5 On-Screen - Calling Kofi Kingston Stupid
Wrestling fans are well aware of the match between Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton, in which the latter lost his cool and lashed out at his opponent on live television.
Randy Orton lost his cool after a spot gets blown off and went on to unload his frustrations on Kingston by calling him stupid on live television. WWE used the altercation in storyline when Orton feuded with Kofi Kingston over the WWE Championship in 2019. But Kingston got his retribution for the insult and defeated Orton to retain the title
4 Real Life - Getting Mr. Kennedy Fired
Mr. Kennedy was on the fast track to success in WWE during his first run with the company as he went on to win the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 23, which guaranteed a world title opportunity at a time of his choosing.
However, a misdiagnosed injury resulted in him dropping the contract to Edge, and an altercation with Randy Orton resulted in the end of his entire WWE career.

Orton reportedly took John Cena's help to complain to Vince McMahon about Kennedy being unsafe to work with inside the ring. Since the complaint came from the two top stars, McMahon had to give in and eventually released Kennedy from his contract in 2009.
3 On-Screen - Kissing Stephanie McMahon In Front Of Triple H
Randy Orton entered into a heated rivalry with the McMahon family in 2009 which saw The Legend Killer take out one member after the other. He took out Vince McMahon with a punt kick and tried to do the same to Shane McMahon during their unsanctioned match on the February 16, 2009, episode of Raw.
Stephanie McMahon ran down to the ring to tend to her brother but got caught with an RKO from Orton, which drew Triple H into the feud. However, Orton took things to a personal level with The Game when he handcuffed him to the ring ropes on the March 23, 2009, episode of Raw.
Orton took Stephanie McMahon out with a DDT and made things personal by kissing her right in front of Triple H.
2 Real Life - Destroying Personal Property
Randy Orton took his pranks to a whole new level when he chose the newcomer Rochelle Loewen, who was part of WWE between 2003 and 2005.
Orton allegedly chose her as his target after Loewen failed to recognize him backstage. Orton took out his frustration later the same day when he broke into the women's locker room and found a bag full of Loewen's personal belongings.
He allegedly poured baby oil and tanning lotion inside the bag, which ruined everything that was already inside. However, in contrary to this story, many believe that Orton defecated inside Loewen's bag.
1 On-Screen - Eddie's In Hell
Randy Orton entered the World Heavyweight Championship picture for WrestleMania 22 when he defeated Rey Mysterio to take the latter's opportunity at Kurt Angle's championship, which the masked superstar had earned by winning the 2006 Royal Rumble match.
During the build-up to the match, Randy Orton stooped to a lower level when he claimed that Rey Mysterio's friend, the late Eddie Guerrero, was in hell.
The segment didn't go well with the fans, as many called out the company for exploiting the legend's death for their storylines.
