9 Things About Lita's WWE Career That Made No Sense
Joining WWE in 2000, Lita went on to have a successful career. She is a four-time WWE Women's Champion, and rightfully etched in her name in history by being inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014. Moreover, not every moment in Lita's six-year run as a WWE competitor was smooth sailing. Many instances occurred in Lita's career that failed to make sense. In retrospect, Lita had earned legendary status in WWE but there have been times in Lita's career that she would not like to revisit.
9 Assaulted With A Steel Chair By Steve Austin
Lita never shied away from getting physical in the ring, which is why she captivated audiences with her brand of wrestling. In the spring of 2001, Lita alongside The Hardy Boyz briefly feuded with The Two-Man Power Trip featuring Triple H and Steve Austin.
Things took a turn for the worse on the April 9, 2001 edition of Raw. The Hardyz and Lita were on the receiving end from a brutal beat down from the dastardly heels. Lita took several chair shots from Austin which was disgraceful. This certainly would not fly today in the PG Era with a woman taking brutal chair shots from a male.
8 Forced To Do Live Sex Celebration With Edge
Edge won his first WWE Championship at New Year's Revolution 2006 after cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on a wounded John Cena. Moreover, to celebrate his title win in style and living up to his Rated-R Superstar moniker, Edge and Lita partook in a Live Sex Celebration the following night on the January 9, 2006 edition of Raw.
Lita did not want to do but she was fearful of losing her job if she rejected to participate in this raunchy angle. In fairness to Edge and Cena, they want to bat for Lita, trying to stop them from doing the angle. It was to no avail and Lita was humiliated as she was forced to simulate sexual acts on Edge while Cena emerged and dropped her with an Attitude Adjustment.
7 Short Women's Title Reigns
Despite amassing a haul of four Women's Championship reigns, Lita's reigns with the gold were all incredibly short. Lita's first Women's Title reign came in 2000 when she defeated Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley in the go-home show on Raw heading into SummerSlam.

That would be Lita's longest run with the title as she held the gold for 72 days. Surprisingly, Lita would not win the Women's Title again for four years, when she overcame her rival Trish in an outstanding main event in December 2004 on Raw. Unfortunately, Lita had many injuries in her career, which derailed her from having long runs with the title but she certainly deserved the chance to prove herself as champion.
6 Romance Angle With Dean Malenko
In late 2000, Lita caught the attention of the reigning Light Heavyweight Champion Dean Malenko. Malenko was portraying a "Ladies Man" gimmick and Lita was involved in a brief rivalry with The Man of 1000 Holds. Malenko defeated Lita in an intergender match which forced Lita to go on a date with Malenko.
The whole storyline was silly from start to finish which got both their respective factions The Hardyz and The Radicalz involved. The Hardyz and Lita lost to The Radicalz at Armageddon, but Lita finally got her win over Malenko on the February 19, 2001 edition of Raw, which was a humiliating experience for the Light Heavyweight Champion.
5 Only Wrestling At WrestleMania Once
WrestleMania X8 saw Jazz defend the WWE Women's Championship against Trish Stratus and Lita in a high-quality title match, that was sandwiched between The Rock-Hogan and the Undisputed WWE Championship main event.
Jazz retained the Women's Championship which happened to be Lita's sole in-ring WrestleMania outing. That's shocking in itself that Lita never wrestled on The Grandest Stage of Them All again. Unfortunately, she broke her neck when filming an episode of Fox's Dark Angel. Sadly, Lita had to undergo neck surgery, which kept her out of action for well over a year. Three years later, Lita tore her ACL which forced her to miss WrestleMania 21 in a blockbuster match with Trish.
4 Marriage To Kane
Lita was fit and raring to go in 2004, and she had an underrated Women's Championship match with Victoria at Backlash. Lita was in a long-term relationship with Matt Hardy and she revealed that she was pregnant. Nonetheless, Kane threw a wrench in the works by revealing that Lita's baby was his.

Ultimately, Kane defeated Matt in a "Till Death Do Us Part" match at SummerSlam, which saw Kane prevail and marry Lita. It was illogical as Lita was out of in-ring action for five months, and after overcoming a serious injury, Lita could have pushed on as Women's Champion instead of sitting on the sidelines yet again.
3 Losing To Chyna At Judgment Day 2001
Chyna transitioned into the Women's division by defeating Ivory emphatically at WrestleMania X-Seven for her lone reign as Women's Champion. The Ninth Wonder of World tore through the women's locker room with ease, until Lita posed a legitimate threat to Chyna.
At Judgment Day 2001, Chyna put her Women's Championship on the line against Lita. It was an extremely competitive contest with Lita pushing Chyna hard, as no other woman managed to do that. Nonetheless, Chyna retained the title, which was one of the best matches in her career, and the final match of her WWE career. On the contrary, Lita revealed that they held back a bit, as they expected to have a three-match series, whetting the appetite for fans which failed to materialize with Chyna's departure.
2 Humiliation At Survivor Series 2006
Lita announced that Survivor Series 2006 would be her retirement match, weeks after Trish Stratus retired at Unforgiven on a high note by defeating Lita for her seventh and final Women's Championship reign. Lita was hoping to go out on a high by defending the Women's Title against Mickie James.
Unquestionably, Lita was the most hated female on the roster due to her high-profile affair with Edge. Nevertheless, Lita deserved a classy retirement but she was called derogative terms by fans at Survivor Series. There's no disgrace in losing her Women's Title to Mickie but what happened afterward was disgraceful. Cryme Tyme added insult to injury by selling Lita's belongings while claiming she had a yeast infection. This was the ultimate disrespect to Lita and she begged Mr. McMahon to change it but it was denied.
1 Not Having A One-On-One WrestleMania Match With Trish
Arguably the greatest rivalry in the history of women's wrestling is between Trish Stratus and Lita. Their feud was so flexible that fans were glued to this rivalry, regardless of who was a babyface or heel.
However, there was one thing that was missing from their rivalry, and that is a marquee one-on-one Women's Championship match at WrestleMania. Unfortunately, Lita tore her ACL in her title defense at New Year's Revolution 2005 which saw another untimely spell on the sidelines for Lita. She was touted on regaining the Women's Championship from Trish at WrestleMania 21 which would have been a career-defining moment for Lita.
