Dwayne The Rock Johnson is currently one of the elite movie stars in Hollywood with many blockbuster movies to his name. But he found his feet in the entertainment world through wrestling as he was among the biggest draws in the Attitude Era.

In his peak wrestling years, The Great One achieved some incredible feats and carried the legacy of his famous wrestling family. The Rock has won the World title a record ten times, and he has headlined many big pay-per-views in WWE. But The Rock has also failed to do a number of things in wrestling.

9 Never Won The United States Championship

The United States Championship has been one of the prestigious titles of WWE for the past two decades following its arrival from WCW. When The Rock wrestled in the early 2000s, it was still an active title during the WCW/ECW invasion.

While The Rock has won the Intercontinental Championship twice, he has never held the United States Championship.

8 Never Wrestled Outside WWE

The Rock is possibly the biggest homegrown talent of WWE. He started his wrestling career in 1996 after getting trained by his father Rocky Johnson, Pat Patterson, and Tom Prichard.

Following his debut, he wrestled in the Attitude Era and the early part of the Ruthless Aggression Era before leaving for Hollywood. Therefore, The Rock never wrestled or won titles outside of WWE.

7 Didn't Spend A Decade As A Full-Time Wrestler

The Rock might be one of the greatest creations of Vince McMahon, but surprisingly he didn't have a long career in WWE, especially as a full-time wrestler. As it was mentioned above, The Brahma Bull started wrestling in 1996 when he was called Rocky Maivia. Then following his transformation as The Rock, he wrestled as a full-time wrestler until 2004.

Unlike most legends in WWE, The Rock's full-time career lasted only eight years before deciding to pursue a full-time career in acting.

6 Not A Grand Slam Champion

Becoming a grand slam champion is a monumental achievement for any professional wrestler. A Grand Slam Champion is someone who manages to win all active titles of the company. Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, Triple H, Kane, Roman Reigns, etc are some big names to become grand slam champions in WWE.

However, Rocky never accomplished the feat of becoming a grand slam champion. Perhaps a longer career would have allowed him to attain it.

5 Never Had A Five Star Match According To Dave Meltzer

It wouldn't be wrong to call The Rock the best talker in WWE history because he has produced countless memorable promos combined with his cheeky catchphrases. His outstanding mic skills have given him the tag of ' the most electrifying man in sports entertainment.

As an in-ring performer, The Rock was decent in his prime but nothing extraordinary. The Great One had incredible matches with foes like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Mankind, and many more, but interestingly, he never had a five-star match against any opponent as per Dave Meltzer.

4 Never Defended A World Title Successfully At WrestleMania

Being a main event star, The Rock has headlined multiple WrestleMania matches. He has competed in a World Title match at WrestleMania 15, 17, and 29 respectively. In each of these matches, The Great One walked in as a world champion but failed to walk out with gold.

Hence, The Rock never successfully defended a world title at the Grandest Stage of Them All. Stone Cold Steve Austin beat him in two WWE Championship matches at WrestleMania 15 and 17 respectively, while he lost the WWE Championship to John Cena at WrestleMania 29.

3 Never Won The European Championship

In the Attitude Era, the European Championship was a significant gold. The belt was held by Chris Jericho, The British Bulldog, Kurt Angle, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and many such big names. The European Championship was a mid-card title at that time.

The Rock, surprisingly, never won the European Championship in his WWE career. Had he won the title, it would have made him become a Grand Slam Champion in the Attitude Era.

2 Never Won King Of The Ring

King of the Ring is one of the prestigious competitions in WWE. It began in 1985, and WWE still holds the competition to crown the ultimate King of the Ring in WWE. From Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Kurt Angle to Triple H and Brock Lesnar, many legends have won the prestigious tournament.

Despite participating in the King of the Ring tournament, The Rock never won it. The Rock was the runner-up of King of the Ring 1998, which was won by Ken Shamrock.

1 Never Ranked At The Top Of PWI 500 List

Pro Wrestling Illustrated is a renowned wrestling magazine that has been active since 1979. Each year the magazine releases the names of the top 500 wrestlers in the world from different wrestling promotions. Topping the list of Pro Wrestling Illustrated is a huge honor for any wrestler.

Colossal names like Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Sting, Brock Lesnar, and John Cena have topped the list of Pro Wrestling Illustrated. However, The Rock never had the honor of topping the PWI 500. In 2000, he came close by finishing at the number two spot.
