“Thanks to a new “exclusive multiyear pay-one output agreement” with HBO and Max, The Iron Claw will arrive at the streaming platform in early 2024. A24’s existing deal with Showtime is set to expire at the end of December, and the HBO deal will immediately start on January 1.”
The R-rated movie will have a runtime of 2 hours and 10 minutes. It had a budget of $20.4 million.

Jeremy Allen White, who achieved fame in shows such as Shameless and The Bear, will play Kerry Von Erich. Kerry Von Erich was also known as “The Texas Tornado” and is a former WWE Intercontinental Champion and NWA World Heavyweight Champion. David Von Erich will be played by Harris Dickinson. David Von Erich was a multi-time champion in the NWA.
In an interview with Variety, Efron spoke on playing the role of Kevin Von Erich. He said:
“That necessity to be perfect — it became an obsession…It was a singular focus for months. And your life goes out the window during prep…Then I was able to incorporate old-school body-building and Olympic lifting…and really achieved that specific look of pro wrestlers, which was really hard.”
White said, “And I’m not so sure about Zac. He was kind of a machine during that time. And I do think that these men probably felt like machines in some game constructed by their father. I don’t know how far away Zac got from Kevin during the entirety of the filming process, but if I had to guess, I don’t think he ever drifted too far away from character.” Dickinson said, “His life was solely about that. It was contained. And it was shut off from everything else.”
In addition to the actors who play the main three brothers, a number of other Von Erichs will be featured. Holt McCallany will play Fritz Von Erich, the father of the Von Erich family.
