WWE is set to hold a massive international Premium Live Event on Saturday, February 24, with Elimination Chamber set for Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia. The card has taken some hits over the last several weeks. There had been talk not too long ago of Roman Reigns vs The Rock perhaps happening there, but unless WWE surprisingly books Reigns and Rock vs. Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins for the event, you won't be seeing either of them there. CM Punk seemed a lock to win the Men's Elimination Chamber match and face Rollins at WrestleMania 41, but a triceps injury has him out. Now another name, Jade Cargill, has been removed from Elimination Chamber.
According to PWInsider Elite, Cargill was set to be part of the Women's Elimination Chamber match, but for unknown reasons she has been pulled from the PLE and will be at SmackDown instead. While Cargill's inclusion at Elimination Chamber was never confirmed, a leaked graphic from WWE's website showed the match including Cargill, along with Liv Morgan, Naomi, Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, and Tiffany Stratton.
Jade Cargill wrestled for AEW from 2020-2023, where she had a lengthy undefeated streak as the inaugural TBS Champion. Cargill signed with WWE in September 2023 but outside of making a few small appearances on Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, she spent her time training at the Performance Center. It wasn't until the 2024 Royal Rumble last month that Cargill finally appeared in a WWE ring as part of the Women's Royal Rumble. The crowd went insane as she eliminated Nia Jax and went face to face with Bianca Belair. It looked like Elimination Chamber would be her next match, especially with an announced battle royal for a spot in the match, which she was reported to be winning.
Why Jade Cargill's WWE Debut Was Perfect
Jade Cargill finally made her WWE debut at the Royal Rumble, and fans went wild for her interactions with Nia Jax and Bianca Belair. Is Jade Cargill Better Off Not Being In The Elimination Chamber?
The winner of the Men's Elimination Chamber match is a little more unpredictable, with Drew McIntyre being the favorite, but the women's winner is certain to be Becky Lynch. WWE has put Lynch and Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley in the ring together on TV several times lately and had them face off at the Las Vegas WrestleMania 40 press conference. With Women's Royal Rumble winner Bayley challenging WWE Women's Champion Iyo Sky, a dream match between Ripley and Lynch seems the way to go on Raw.
That means Jade Cargill wasn't going to win the Elimination Chamber. She already lost at Royal Rumble, so having her lose again so soon, where this time she would be pinned, is a risk to a character that is meant to appear unbeatable. WWE is hinting at a Jade Cargill vs Bianca Belair showdown for WrestleMania 40. They could have continued where they left off at the Royal Rumble inside the Elimination Chamber, but WWE has different plans for Cargill at the moment.
