Alexander Gabrielli

Professional Background

I was raised and educated in the Kansas City area. While attending the University of Kansas as an undergraduate, I trained with Drs. Merlin Butler and Ann Manzardo in the division of research and genetics at KU Medical Center. My work focused on the clinical and genetic features of Prader-Willi Syndrome, obesity, and autism. Through this collaboration, I have published articles in the journal Obesity, the Journal of Rare Disorders, and the International Journal of Molecular Sciences.

I completed an internship with Dr. Carlos Cruchaga at the Barnes-Jewish Institute of Health in St. Louis through the Amgen Scholars Program where I generated polygenic risk scores to stratify Alzheimer's disease using clinical and genomic data.
