Backstage News On WWE's Plans For Tucker

The recent Hell in a Cell event brought about a shocking betrayal -  or perhaps not so shocking as betrayal has long been a theme for WWE.

Sunday's show saw Tucker turn on best friend Otis to engineer a victory for The Miz, who is now Mr. Money in the Bank. Tucker was traded to Raw during the 2020 WWE Draft but it was thought he would remain on SmackDown and it appeared WWE moved him back to the blue brand this week. That he's listed as a SmackDown superstar on WWE.com also helped the notion.

However, according to PWInsider, Tucker will remain on Monday Night Raw but will continue his feud with his former Tag Team partner.

Tucker's Turn

The two performers had been part of a Tag Team since debuting on WWE, showing up as Heavy Machinery on NXT back in 2016. Otis had a great singles run leading up to MITB this year and held the briefcase for several months prior to losing it on Sunday.

Tucker remained in the shadows while his partner became a fan favorite on SmackDown but it appears he's poised for his own singles run. The superstar revealed not knowing Heavy Machinery would be split up at the Draft until moments before.

“We found out at the last minute like most things happen here," he said last week. "And that’s just part of being a WWE Superstar. [I] actually found out live on Talking Smack that I was I going to move to Raw. It is what it is. Kind of good and bad or whatever, but mostly disappointing because Heavy Machinery still feels like they have some things to achieve."
