Bray Wyatt's WWE Extreme Rules Return Included Brodie Lee Tributes
WWE's White Rabbit teasers came to an end at Extreme Rules and as expected, the man behind all of the cryptic teasers was Bray Wyatt. After the main event, Wyatt's Firefly Funhouse friends came to life and were shown dotted around the arena. The segment, and the show, ended with Wyatt emerging through a door and removing a new mask, confirming his return to a thunderous reaction from the fans.
Bray Wyatt's Brodie Lee Tributes
Once fans had moved past the excitement of Wyatt being back, they started to rewatch his return and pick out Easter eggs. One of the first things people noticed and subsequently shared on Twitter were the tributes to Brodie Lee. Both the mask Sister Abigail is wearing and the blue light emanating from the aforementioned door appear to be odes to the late wrestler.

The mask is the nailed-on tribute to Lee, as it is the exact same one, or at least the same design, as the mask Lee wore when competing as one half of The Bludgeon Brothers. The second potential tribute isn't as obvious, but most fans seem to agree it definitely isn't just a coincidence. The blue light coming from the door seems to have been inspired by the light that would shine behind Lee during his AEW entrance.
Wyatt Honors Lee
The tweet below will not only jog your memory but also likely convince you that Wyatt definitely intended to honor his fallen friend while making fans think about Lee. Lee was an original member of The Wyatt Family, of course, while wrestling as Luke Harper in WWE. The former TNT Champion passed away almost two years ago at the end of 2020 at the age of just 41.
Wyatt is officially back in WWE, but what the company has planned for him remains unclear. The belief is that the former Universal Champion has recruited a new band of followers, perhaps the people behind the masks at Extreme Rules. Potential candidates for Wyatt's new group include Liv Morgan, Joe Gacy, and perhaps even Seth Rollins.
