Britt Baker Reacts To The Removal Of Her NXT WarGames Cameo

This Saturday will mark the third anniversary of AEW. Although the promotion's first event wouldn't come until five months later, and Dynamite didn't begin until October 2019, AEW was officially announced and revealed to the world on New Year's Day almost three years ago. What a rollercoaster ride it has been for both the wrestlers involved and those of us who have been watching on at home.

Britt Baker Sort Of Appears At WarGames

That first year was obviusly a big and very pivotal one for AEW. The milestones mentioned above and the need to make a major mark on the wrestling business as quickly as possible. For those of you who have forgotten what happened, Britt Baker was shown in the crowd during WarGames 2019. Baker, who was and still is dating Adam Cole, had just watched her other half tumble from the top of a cage and through a table. Her shocked reaction was captured and aired to the world. However, you can't relive that shot via the WWE Network as it has since been removed.

I Took Their Bay Bay

A fan revealed to Baker that her cameo appearance had been removed from the version of WarGames 2019 available on the Network, and Baker had the perfect response. “That's okay. They took me out. I took their BAY BAY,” Baker replied. Cole let his NXT contract expire over the summer and showed up in AEW shortly after. Since he wasn't released, Cole wasn't bound by the usual 90-day non-compete clause, or 30 days for NXT Superstars.

Baker revealed shortly after she was accidentially shown on screen at WarGames that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were incredibly apologetic backstage. Apparently, the WWE power couple explained that whoever was in charge of which shots were shown and when didn't know who she was. They also said they hoped she wouldn't be in trouble. Baker explained that it was quite the contrary and Tony Khan loved that an AEW wrestler trended due to an unintentional appearance on a WWE show.
