Charlotte Flair Talks Wedding Plans & Whether Or Not She's Ready To Become A Mother

Charlotte Flair is pretty keen on marrying her fiance and fellow WWE star Andrade. The pair are now engaged, with Andrade apparently having proposed via Google Translate, but The Queen would like to hold off on tying the knot until the current pandemic is under control.

Ever keen to discuss the love of her life, Charlotte was a recent guest on The Bellas Podcast and revealed the coronavirus has forced them to put plans for a wedding ceremony on the back burner as she wants to have her big day in Mexico and would need everyone to be able to travel for it.

"With COVID it's hard to know where the world will be in six months especially because we want everything to be in Mexico. I don't know when the best time is because we want everyone to be able to travel," she explained in quotes cited by Wrestling Inc.

The podcast hosts, Nikki and Brie Bella, are both pregnant and were curious as to Charlotte's thoughts on motherhood. The WWE superstar pointed out that, while she would love to be a mother someday, she's not sure she's quite ready for that at the moment.

She said:

"I definitely want to be a mother but if I had the same confidence that I now have in the ring with other opportunities or projects, what could I do? I'm not ready to try to figure that out on top of trying to be a mother."

Taking A Break

Charlotte has stepped away from the ring for a while but was one of the most booked superstars this year. The 12-time World Champion won the Women's Royal Rumble this year before claiming the NXT Women's Championship at WrestleMania 36 in a remarkable showdown against Rhea Ripley.

For a number of weeks, she appeared on all three WWE brands, NXT, Raw, and SmackDown. Her regular appearances led to criticism from a section of the WWE Universe, something she felt was unfair as she was part of other people's storylines and not her own.
