Chi FATE Boss Guide (Tips, Tricks, & Strategies)

The Chi Boss FATE in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker is a rare quest that players can complete to receive Chi Bolts and purchase the Level Checker Mount.

FFXIV Endwalker Chi Boss FATE Chi Defeated'

Chi is a Boss FATE in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker and players can defeat this boss for Chi Bolts. The Chi Bolts can be turned in for a Level Checker Mount, but players will need to defeat Chi multiple times in order to obtain enough Chi Bolts to purchase it. Before the boss fight can happen, players will need to complete a few FATEs in order to get Chi to spawn.

FATEs, or Full Active Time Events, are quests found around Eorzea and can be completed by multiple parties. To get maximum credit for finishing a FATE, players will need to join at the start of the event and complete the objectives within the time limit. FATEs can be battles, escort missions, boss fights, or other events that players can complete to claim rewards or spawn Boss FATEs such as the Chi boss battle in FFXIV: Endwalker.

The Chi FATE only spawns every 48 hours. There's no guarantee that FFXIV: Endwalker's Chi will spawn when the required FATEs are completed, so players may need to finish the events several times to get to the boss battle. Players will need to complete "Omicron Recall: Comms Expansion" and "Omicron Recall: Secure Collection" to have the chance to spawn Chi's quest, "Omicron Recall: Killing Order." The FATEs are located in Ultima Thule, and the Chi FATE can be found on the Lost Hydraulic platform. Players can keep finishing the required FATEs until they find Chi.

How to Defeat Chi in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker

Chi has a few moves that players will need to dodge throughout the boss fight in FFXIV: Endwalker. Before Chi attacks, there are area of effect indicators for players to look out for. Chi can charge forward, use a beam attack, or do area damage during the fight. Since the Chi FATE is so rare, it's likely there will be a large number of players involved in the fight, so defeating Chi shouldn't be difficult. Players will need to have a level 90 Combat Job in order to complete the Boss FATE.

To join the Chi FATE, players need to go to the Lost Hydraulic platform while the event is ongoing. Since it only spawns once every 48 hours, players may have a hard time finding the event. There are community-made tools, such as Faloop!, that are used to track Boss FATEs. Players can choose their country, then select Ultima as the world to find a Chi FATE. Once players find an active event, they can defeat the Boss FATE and claim their rewards.

Players will need to beat Chi multiple times in order to get enough Chi Bolts for the Level Checker Mount in FFXIV: Endwalker. Players will need 12 Chi Bolts, so even with maximum credit earned, players will need to defeat Chi twice. Once players have enough Chi Bolts, they can visit Nesvaaz at Radz-at-Han, then purchase the mount. The Level Checker Mount will allow players to shrink down and travel inside of its screen while hopping around on its sole leg. Players will need to find and defeat Chi in order to unlock the new Level Checker Mount in FFXIV: Endwalker.
