Crazy Wrestling Fan Incidents That Could Have Been Dangerous
For the most part, wrestling fans understand the boundaries and the need to not get physically involved with any of the performers. There is a genuine risk factor involved whenever the balance between fans and wrestlers is not right. Sometimes this can be down to a crazy fan hopping the barrier and deciding to try to get physically involved.

Other times it is down to a wrestler being in the crowd for an angle, which something goes wrong. Over the years there have been a lot of these incidents where things have been a little too close for comfort. While it is rare for anyone to get genuinely hurt, there have been times when things could have been dangerous.
10 Seth Rollins Gets Speared
Whenever a wrestling fan decides to jump the barricade, there is always a risk of something dangerous happening. It is impossible to predict what will happen, and on this occasion, a member of the audience got the chance to blindside Seth Rollins. As he was making his way to the back, the fan ran from behind and then speared him to the floor.
Security was slow to act in this situation, which was a shame to see because it put Rollins at risk. Thankfully, the WWE Superstar handled the situation brilliantly, quickly getting himself out of danger, while he opted to not react aggressively himself, which was a good call due to it being live on Monday Night Raw.
9 Brock Lesnar Launches A Car Door
Sometimes, a dangerous situation can take place that isn't the fault of anybody in the audience. That was the case on Monday Night Raw in 2015 when Brock Lesnar destroyed Seth Rollins' car. It was an impressive feat of strength, and the segment was a brilliant one, but it nearly went wrong.

That's because when Lesnar launched the car door that he ripped off, he went a step too far. Perhaps not realizing his power, Lesnar threw the door towards the crowd, and it hit a member of the WWE Universe. Due to the size of the door, this could have been disastrous, but thankfully the fan was okay.
8 CM Punk vs. Fan
Heading into the audience always brings a genuine risk, and that was clear when CM Punk did that on Monday Night Raw in 2012. He was scarpering away as a heel into the audience, but that allowed a fan to get a few cheap shots in. The fan decided to punch Punk in the ribs and looked to push him down the stairs.
Naturally, Punk wasn't happy, and he opted to react, punching the WWE Universe member back. This was caught on Raw at the end of the show, which got everyone talking and made the news. But the situation was instantly a dangerous one, not just for Punk, but the fan in question as well.
7 Triple H Beats Up A Fan
Most people are aware that if you take the risk of jumping the barricade, the wrestlers will often not react kindly. That was clear during a tour of Germany in 1998 when an audience member did just that. Someone leaped the barrier to attack Steve Austin, but he got more than he bargained for.
Despite the fact that Triple H was Austin's rival at the time, he hated this incident even more. The Game rag dolled the fan to the mat and then proceeded to make him pay for the decision, with the referee joining in. Things are quickly calmed down, which was a good thing for everyone.
6 Trying To Battle The nWo
The nWo forming was a shocking moment, and it did gain a lot of heat from crowds at the time. That was clear during the first time they came together, as one fan decided to hop the barricade to fight them. The audience member was so frustrated by the situation that he wanted to end it himself.
Of course, this didn't end well for the audience member, as Scott Hall and Kevin Nash ended up getting the best of him here. It wasn't a good look for the fan, especially since they were working as top heels at the time, which brought a lot of danger to the situation.
5 AEW's Incident
AEW might be a new company, but even they have had to deal with crazy fans to deal with. During one segment involving MJF and Chris Jericho, someone hopped up to the ring and tried to attack. It's something that didn't work well for them, with the wrestling veteran going to attack him while Justin Roberts grabbed at him from ringside.

There was clear frustration and anger on Jericho's part especially, and that is something that brought a huge risk factor to this situation. Because the emotions were high at this moment, something could easily have gone wrong, but thankfully it ended up being dealt with.
4 WrestleMania Show-Stopper
Wrestling fans pay a lot of money to attend WrestleMania, so the fact that someone tried to hijack this show made no sense at all. However, before the WrestleMania 23 main event, one member of the audience hopped into the ring and tried to make the show all about himself.
This was dealt with very swiftly by WWE, likely because of how big the situation was considering it was the headline match. Nobody ended up being hurt, but this could have been a dangerous situation to go wrong given that the bright lights were on here.
3 Attacking The Viper
Whenever a wrestler isn't looking, there is always an added risk element when a fan decides to attack them as they're not able to protect themselves. That was the case during a WWE live event in South Africa when a member of the WWE Universe decided to get into the ring while Randy Orton was posing on the top rope.
He ran behind him and went for a low blow, which was a bad move. The Viper is well-known for having a bad temper, therefore the decision to attack him could have ended up going sour if he wasn't in the right mood at the time.
2 A Fans Sneaks Backstage
Fans being seen backstage is something that never happens, which is because WWE's security is extremely tight. However, that wasn't the case when Batista was posing ahead of an upcoming segment on Monday Night Raw. This was done live, but then a fan popped out of nowhere and did Batista's classic pose.

Fortunately, this guy attempted to just be a genuine fan who was excited to have snuck in and got on the show. He posed and brought no threat to The Animal, but if he had been of a different mindset, this situation could have gone south quickly.
1 Bret Hart Gets Attacked
One of the scariest fan incidents took place at the 2019 Hall of Fame, when Bret Hart was jumped by a random fan. The Hitman was trying to induct Jim Neidhart when he was attacked from behind, which bought obvious danger due to Hart's health issues in the past, and the fact that he was blindsided.
However, things then quickly turned, and the situation became dangerous for the attacker. Everyone was frustrated by the situation, none more so than The Revival. That was clear when Dash Wilder punched him in the face while he was being escorted away, making it clear that such behavior wasn't acceptable.
