Emily Brekke, M.D.

Professional Background

Dr. Emily Brekke is from Lexington, KY.  She went to Berry College in Rome, GA, where she played volleyball and majored in biology.  She and her husband have a golden retriever named Odin and a bunny named Loki.  They like to hike and travel in their spare time.

Dr. Brekke chose KU for residency  not just because of the great experiences the residents get in both obstetrics and gynecology, but for the sense of family this program has. She could tell from just one day of interacting with the residents and faculty that everybody really cared about each other and she wanted to be a part of that family.
