The storyline allowed Hercules to turn face and feud against DiBiase for a short time. WWE’s biggest use of their rivalry came at the Survivor Series 1988 event. DiBiase eliminating Hercules from the match gave him the upper hand moving forward. The final singles match to end the feud saw DiBiase winning on Saturday Night’s Main Event in a forgettable angle.
9 Virgil
The role of Virgil as Ted DiBiase’s manservant saw him getting involved in matches with the typical bodyguard role. DiBiase clearly was not respectful towards Virgil, but the peak of their work together came as allies.
WWE eventually turned Virgil face to feud against DiBiase, but he wasn’t the most impressive in-ring performer. Virgil scoring a win over DiBiase to become the new Million Dollar Champion, but it led to little success. DiBiase won the title back months later with Virgil falling out of the spotlight.
8 Brutus Beefcake
Ted DiBiase worked against Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake for two mini-feuds. The first came in the form of a singles angle culminating at WrestleMania 5 with a disappointing double count out finish. However, they had a more noteworthy feud years later in tag team action.
Beefcake and Hulk Hogan teamed up as the Mega Maniacs to feud with DiBiase and his new partner I.R.S. as Money Inc. WrestleMania 9 featured a big tag match, but there was little interest in the DiBiase vs Beefcake interactions.
7 The Steiner Brothers
The tag team run of Money Inc. continued to find success with Ted DiBiase and I.R.S. working together as hated heels. WWE signing Rick and Scott Steiner away from WCW saw the top face team feuding with Money Inc.
Both teams traded the WWE Tag Team Championship as the two most important duos in the division. Unfortunately, the Steiner Brothers never fit into WWE as well as WCW. The tag feud was fine, but it is barely talked about today.
6 The Big Boss Man
WWE signing The Big Boss Man in the Golden Era made him one of the most underrated characters. Boss Man could work with most talents, and it showed when having a feud against top established heel Ted DiBiase.
Jake Roberts stealing the Million Dollar Championship saw DiBiase trying to force Boss Man to get it back for him. Boss Man refusing led to them getting into a short program with the audience becoming more interested in him for standing against the hated villain.
5 Dusty Rhodes
The WWE signing of Dusty Rhodes saw him having a lackluster run compared to his previous success. Vince McMahon putting Dusty in the polka dot gear made people think he was burying his formal rival, but Rhodes still did his best in the tough spot.

DiBiase usually managed his talent against his wrestlers’ enemies, but he was the one to make things personal with Undertaker.

The feud between Randy Savage and Ted DiBiase started at WrestleMania 4 in the finals of a tournament to crown a new WWE Championship. Savage won the title for the first time by defeating DiBiase on the biggest stage.

1 Hulk Hogan
WWE making Hulk Hogan the face of the company throughout the entire Golden Era made it obvious that he’d feud with Ted DiBiase. Most of the rivalry featured DiBiase hiring other heel wrestlers to have title shots or singles matches against Hogan.
Andre the Giant’s highly successful feud with Hogan came with DiBiase hiring him as part of the story. The various singles and tag matches saw Hogan always getting the better of DiBiase to tell the good vs evil story.
