In a thrilling and nostalgia-filled event, WWE Superstar Spectacle made its triumphant return to India, marking the sports entertainment company's first appearance in the country since 2017. The electrifying show unfolded at the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium, also known as the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, and was produced to appeal to a super-excited Indian audience. WWE didn't disappoint, bringing out one of the biggest stars in India as a surprise.
Among the top-notch matches that captivated the fervent crowd, fans in attendance witnessed Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, and Drew McIntyre joining forces to take down the formidable Indus Sheer faction comprising Veer, Sanga, and the legendary Jinder Mahal. But, the big shocker came in the form of The Great Khali, who was on hand at the event and made an appearance. Photos of him were all over social media, including video footage of him walking around backstage and teaching John Cena how to speak a few words in Hindi.

Khali, who stands as one of WWE's most celebrated India-born stars alongside Jinder Mahal, not only made a return but announced that he's got one more match left in him. The tease was that he will have the match coming up for WWE. In a heartwarming promo segment, he also expressed his profound connection with the WWE Universe and his announcement of another possible contest got fans guessing as to who his opponent might be. The early favorite among the fans appears to be Omos.
Khali was known for his colossal stature and early push upon his WWE arrival. While he'll not go down as the most gifted in-ring performer, there's no denying his star power internationally. A former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, his contributions to the world of professional wrestling were duly recognized when he was inducted into the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame in 2021.
Can The Great Khali Still Go In A WWE Ring?
He has not stepped into the squared circle since his participation in the 50-Man Greatest Royal Rumble Match in April 2018 in Saudi Arabia, but whatever match he does have won't have to be a classic. One has to wonder if WWE will save it for another trip to India, or if they will promote his appearance (should he wrestle again) at a major premium live event.
