Hacksaw Jim Duggan Rushed To Hospital

Hacksaw Jim Duggan's wife Debra has revealed to fans that the Hall of Famer has been taken to hospital where he will undergo emergency surgery.

Jim Duggan has been battling various health issues for the past few years, most of which have related to the Hall of Famer's heart. Sadly, it seems Duggan may not be out of the woods quite yet. The former WWE Superstar's wife Debra took to Facebook earlier today to reveal her husband is back in the hospital.

Hacksaw Rushed To Hospital

“Back where we don’t want to be. Please pray for Jim and his doctors as he has emergency surgery this morning,” Debra wrote on Facebook, attaching a photo of Duggan on his side in a hospital bed. The reason for his latest hospital visit or why he will need to undergo emergency surgery was not disclosed by his wife.

Duggan's heart problems began back in 2018 when he was admitted to hospital with an irregular heartbeat. That issue was fixed via a procedure the following year. Hacksaw's wife Debra was the one who kept fans abreast of the Hall of Famer's medical issues while he was in hospital, while Duggan himself has been very open about his problems, surgery, and recovery between and after surgeries and visits to the hospital.

Duggan Isn't Done Wrestling

Despite being 67, and also being in and out of hospital, Duggan actually wrestled as recently as 2019. He has remained active on the wrestling circuit, mainly for appearances but also in the odd novelty and tag team match. That work has obviously dried up somewhat thanks to the pandemic and it has been eight years since he last wrestled a match in WWE. A match he won by disqualification against Jack Swagger.

At the time of typing this, neither Debra nor Hacksaw has provided a further update on the need for surgery or whether it has happened yet and been a success. Our thoughts go out to both of them and the rest of the Duggan family at this time, and we hope all goes well and the Hall of Famer is back on his feet sooner rather than later.
