His 5 Best Matches In WWE (& 5 In WCW)
Love him or hate him, one thing that can't be denied is that Hulk Hogan has had an impact on the wrestling business. Whether it be saying prayers and taking vitamins or hanging with his homies as part of the New World Order, Hogan managed to get eyes on whatever promotion he was working for.

Hogan was a prizefighter and stepped foot in the ring with many legends in the business. While it's debatable if he was responsible for elevating anybody to the same heights as him, Hulk did participate in some incredible matches that are still remembered fondly by wrestling fans today.
10 WCW: Vs. Goldberg (Nitro, July 6, 1998)
Live from the hometown of Bill Goldberg, Hollywood Hogan agreed to put the WCW Heavyweight Championship on the line if the hometown hero could get through Scott Hall. After making quick work of The Outsider, Hogan and Goldberg met in the center of the ring.
It was the biggest match of Goldberg's career, but the veteran Hogan carried the rookie through the bout and managed to get a decent performance out of him. After some dirty tactics and interference from the nWo, Goldberg would land the Spear and Jackhammer to win his first World Championship.
9 WWE: Vs. Sgt. Slaughter (WrestleMania VII)
At WrestleMania VII, Hogan and Slaughter told a story about patriotism. Slaughter had recently returned to WWE with his associate General Adnan and had won the World Heavyweight Championship. Both had turned their back on the United States of America. Hogan bled red, white, and blue, and it set up a perfect good versus evil storyline.
Naturally, Slaughter dominated the majority of the match using dirty tactics and illegal moves to stay on top of Hogan. After getting covered with the Iraq flag, Hogan hulked up, tore the flag to pieces, and beat the hell out of Slaughter. A leg drop later, and Hogan was the new World Heavyweight Champion.
8 WCW: Vs. Roddy Piper (Starrcade 1996)
Piper and Hogan were no stranger to one another, and at Starrcade 1996, the two did battle for something beyond championship belts. The bout was about who the icon of professional wrestling was. Piper did what he does best, and that was the fight. He punched Hogan in and out of the ring and used classic professional wrestling moves like chest-rakes and eye-pokes to gain an advantage over Hogan.

Roddy locked in the sleeper hold, and the ref began checking Hogan's conscious state. When the third check happened, and Hulk's hand flopped to the mat, fans were shocked that Piper had won the bout and the title of icon.
7 WWE: Vs. Macho Man (WrestleMania 5)
After the egos in The Mega Powers had exploded and the Macho Man Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan were no longer on the same team, there was only one place to settle their differences, and that was WrestleMania. During these years, Savage would work at such a fast pace that not many wrestlers could keep up with him.
But Hogan managed to, and the two were able to tell a great story in the ring. Savage was enraged due to his jealousy of Hogan and Elizabeth, and it ended up costing him the match. After landing his elbow drop, Hogan hulked up and finished the Macho Man with the leg drop.
6 WCW: Vs. Macho Man (Halloween Havoc 1996)
Seven years after their WrestleMania bout, Hogan and Savage would find themselves in the main event again but at WCW's Halloween Havoc. They were both a little older and maybe a little wiser.
The bout was slower paced compared to their Mania encounter, but the two still managed to tell a story in the ring. It was all about the gold and the battle between the traditions of WCW and the disruptive New World Order. Macho attempted to overcome The Giant, Hogan's use of Elizabeth as a human shield, and a crooked referee, but it was not enough to defeat Hollywood Hogan.
5 WWE: Vs. The Ultimate Warrior (WrestleMania 6)
Both Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior were not known for their technical wrestling ability. But they both connected with fans and were able to get them emotionally invested in their characters. This WrestleMania match between the two is fondly remembered as a contest about who was the most powerful.
Each competitor attempted to demonstrate it through a test of strength, bearhugs, and backbreakers. The end of the bout has been replayed multiple times, which sees Hogan attempt the leg drop only for Warrior to roll out of the way and counter with his big splash.
4 WCW: Vs. Lex Luger (August 4, 1997)
On the 100th episode of WCW Nitro, Lex Luger earned a World Heavyweight Championship match against the champion, Hollywood Hogan. It was another example of two super-heavyweights with limited movesets putting on a performance that got fans out of their seats and cheering until there was a winner.

Hogan landed his patented leg drop but only got a two-count from the Total Package. Luger would be the one to hulk up, fight off the nWo who tried to cause the disqualification, and put Hogan in the Torture Rack for the submission victory.
3 WWE: Vs. Andre The Giant (WrestleMania 3)
It was the birth of the quote, "the irresistible force meets the immovable object," and it was the story of this classic matchup. Andre The Giant had traveled the world and dominated his competition in every ring he stepped in. No one could knock down the giant, which left him undefeated for 15 years.
Hogan attempted everything to try and gain the upper hand. Then in a demonstration of unbelievable strength, he managed to body slam Andre. Hogan quickly followed up with the leg drop and pinned the giant for the three-count.
2 WCW: Vs. Ric Flair (Bash At The Beach 1994)
It was a confrontation that everyone wanted to see when the two icons were in WWE, but instead, it would take place at Bash At The Beach. It was Hogan's PPV debut for WCW, and The Nature Boy was still considered the face organization even though he had left the company for a while.
The dirtiest player in the game lived up to his moniker by using every trick in the book to stay on top of Hogan. But the Figure Four Leglock would not be enough to put The Hulkster away, and he was able to break free, hit Flair with the big boot and leg drop to pick the win and become the new World Heavyweight Champion.
1 WWE: Vs. The Rock (WrestleMania X8)
When Hulk and the New World Order returned to the WWE, dream matches started to form, and one of those included The Rock versus Hollywood Hogan. The two would clash at WrestleMania X8 and steal the show. Hogan would easily overpower Rocky and show the world that he was still dominant all these years later.
After The Rock started to gain the advantage, Hogan would hulk up and land the big boot followed by the leg drop. But it wasn't enough to keep The Great One down. Rock would land the Rock Bottom and People's Elbow to finish Hollywood Hogan.
