How to Unlock the Ring of the Pale Order in Elder Scrolls Online
Acquiring the mythic Ring of the Pale Order is a daunting task in Elder Scrolls Online, but it can be well worth the trouble for a large healing buff.
The Elder Scrolls Online offers an ever-expanding list of treasures to uncover, and the Ring of the Pale Order is one available prize. This ring is one of the more difficult valuables to collect, as it requires players to have three different expansions: Greymoor, Markarth, and Orsinium. Despite the prerequisites, it may be worth the effort, as this ring boasts some very useful effects.
The Ring of the Pale Order is a mythic item, meaning it is broken into five fragments that have to be rejoined to create it. Each fragment of the ring is considered a separate Antiquity and has its own unique Antiquity Lead to be found in the world. An important note for mythic items, players may only have one mythic item equipped at a time.
Finding the five fragments needed to obtain the Ring of the Pale Order will require players to become familiar with the Scrying and Excavation Skill Lines. These will unlock with the Greymoor chapter expansion and are necessary to use the Antiquity Leads. Players will need to be Level 7 or higher in the Scrying Skill Line and have the Antiquarian Insight IV passive ability unlocked to scry the master difficulty leads required for this ring. Finding Antiquities in Elder Scrolls Online involves two separate minigames: one to scry the location of the item described in the lead, and one to excavate it from the ground once it's been found.
Finding The Ring Of The Pale Order In Elder Scrolls Online
Antiquity Leads have fixed locations but will usually be conditionally spawned. They are automatically shared between characters but will expire 30 days after they were acquired, forcing players to hunt them down again if needed. The Ring of the Pale Order requires all five of the master difficulty leads found in the locations detailed below:
- The Order-Etched Gallery Rail's lead has a chance to drop from mobs in Bad Man's Hallows in Glenumbra.
- The Direnni Elegy Loop lead has a chance to drop from delve boss Feremuzh, found in Coldrock Diggings in the Alik'r Desert.
- The Aurmine Ancestral Signet's lead will be randomly found in any treasure chest located in Bangkorai.
- The Onyx Accent Stones' lead will drop from any of the six world bosses in Wrothgar.
- The Pale Order's Golden Band lead will be found in Blackreach's Arkthzand Cavern. It will appear as "Ancient Text" on a round table inside Nighthollow Keep.
The Ring of the Pale Order will restore 20% of damage dealt as health, with this value decreasing by 4% for every ally in the player's group. Wearing this ring also prevents the player from being healed by anyone but themselves, cementing its usefulness in solo gameplay. As with all items in Elders Scrolls Online, the ring can be traded between characters through the banking system.
