IMPACT's W. Morrissey Has 'Buried The Hatchet' With AEW's Joey Janela
IMPACT Wrestling star W. Morrissey has opened up about his infamous real-life 2019 altercation with AEW's Joey Janela and revealed that the two men have since squashed their beef.
As we previously reported, the artist formerly known as Big Cass was involved in several backstage incidents during a WrestlePro event in Rahway, New Jersey, in September of 2019 which led to him being escorted away by police. According to PW Insider, one of the wrestlers Morrissey got into an altercation with that night was All Elite Wrestling star, Joey Janela.
"Not gonna elaborate at all on this whole deal besides that it was probably the bizarre situation I’ve ever seen let alone been a part of in a wrestling locker room in 15 years," Janela tweeted when news of the incident broke. "Everything was cordial and friendly Friday and I hope the dude gets back on the right track," he added.
Morrissey issued an apology a few days later and revealed that he was seeking professional treatment for his mental health issues.

On a recent edition of Sean's Waltman's Pro Wrestling 4 Life, Morrissey explained that although he apologized to Janela at the time, the two men hadn't had a chance to bury the hatchet face-to-face until recently
"I spoke to Joey the weekend of WrestleMania at GCW," Morrissey said. "I did a show and spoke to Joey. We're really cool. We buried the hatchet. That was one that I genuinely needed to apologize to the guy in person. I like to do things face-to-face and was looking forward to going to the show," he continued. "I didn't know if he was going to be there. I know he's associated (with GCW) and was hoping he would be there. I happened to walk in and we started talking right away. I was super happy about that. He's as cool as can be and I appreciate him being super understanding."
Following Morrissey's comments, Janela took to social media and confirmed the reconciliation. Janela also stated that he really wants to book Morrissey on a GCW show someday.
W. Morrissey is a former WWE Superstar who parted ways with the company in 2018. He debuted for IMPACT earlier this year.
