The Broward County Sheriff’s Department released an arrest report, revealing charges against Miller for carjacking without a firearm or weapon and burglary with assault or battery. As of early Wednesday evening, the 35-year-old remains in custody with a set bond of $30,000.

The car robbery involving heavyweight boxer Jarrell Miller occurred on Tuesday at Haims Motors along the 2800 block of North State Road 7, according to investigators. The incident unfolded when a woman approached an employee at the dealership, claiming she left her cell phone inside a recently repossessed truck. The employee, attempting to assist, took the keys to the black Dodge Ram.

However, Miller allegedly grabbed the employee from behind, placed him in a chokehold, and demanded the keys. After slamming the victim to the ground, Miller fled in the truck. Unbeknownst to him, the vehicle had a tracker, leading to his arrest in the Griffin Road area.

Miller appeared in bond court on Wednesday, facing charges of carjacking without a weapon and burglary with assault. Prosecutors argued that Miller had planned the attack and used distraction to execute the crime.
