While the Spanish lawyer has been in charge of the league for the past decade, it has not been without controversy.
Barcelona, in particular, have been very vocal about Tebas’ reign. As noted by ESPN, the Catalan club have already called on him to step down recently.
It was alleged that Tebas provided false information to incriminate the club during the Caso Negreira investigations. It’s not just Barcelona that have had a problem with the former league boss.
Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior also took issue with him over his handling of the racism issues, sparking a war of words online after the Brazilian believed the league was not taking action against his racial abused by fans, per The Mirror.
