WWE fans eagerly await Liv Morgan's return to the ring after she has been sidelined with a shoulder injury since July. According to reports from PWInsider.com, Morgan is expected to travel to Birmingham, Alabama, this month for a crucial evaluation of her injury. While the results of this evaluation may influence her return timeline, there is currently no fixed date for her comeback to the wrestling scene.
The report writes: "For those who have asked about Liv Morgan, a WWE source noted she is still dealing with her shoulder injury and recovery." They added, "They did not know a timetable for her eventual return."
Morgan's injury woes started earlier this year when she missed a month of action from May to June due to a shoulder ailment, forcing her and Raquel Rodriguez to vacate the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships. During her absence, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler claimed the titles, but Liv Morgan made a strong comeback on the June 23 episode of SmackDown. Shortly after regaining the titles with Rodriguez, they dropped them to Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville. Rumors within WWE indicated that Morgan had a separated shoulder and could be out of action all summer, possibly requiring surgery.

It's not clear if she's close, but her next checkup could provide a lot more insight into what comes next. If Morgan is anywhere close to an imminent return, speculation is rife about her potential target being Rhea and the coveted WWE Women's Championship.
The Royal Rumble Might Be A Nice Target
If she can't return in the next few weeks to months, WWE might be best to actually hold off her return to make it more impactful. That could include planning something for her at this year's Royal Rumble, possible costing Rhea Ripley (should Ripley be entered). That would be good way to set up their feud, while also protecting Ripley, who at this point, is fairly unbeatable.
Wrestling fans will be looking forward to Morgan's return. She's among the most popular stars in the Women's Division and if her return is done right, she could be one of the top players on the brand she returns to. If nothing else, she could be teammed again with Rodriqguez. The women's tag team division needs some legitimate contenders as it's serious lacking in actual teams. Even the champions were thrown together when Sonya Deville went down with an injury of her own.
