Lesnar Bails Out McIntyre During Raw Moment, Sends Secret Message [Video]
Don't ever let anyone tell you ever again that Brock Lesnar is all about himself, only concerned with his own well-being in WWE and not prepared to do what's necessary to nail a WWE segment or storyline. If they try, just show them a video clip from Monday's Raw that proves otherwise.
Lesnar, if nothing else, is about business. That said, from a video making the rounds on social media Tuesday, Lesnar isn't only thinking about himself. In an attempt to build a storyline and eventual match with Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36, Brock wants Drew to be a massive star and their work together to be the best it can be.
As McIntyre laid out Lesnar with three Claymore kicks on Monday, Lesnar was "knocked out" and left laying. But, as the video shows, he was alert enough to remind McIntyre to pick up the WWE Championship belt and pose with it to hammer home the segment.
Listen and watch the video below carefully. You can hear Lesnar yell at Drew, "Pick up the belt!" McIntyre them immediately goes and does so.
It's likely that this was a moment that was supposed to be key in the first 15 minutes of the show because it was meant to establish McIntyre as a credible opponent. It's probably also the kind of thing Vince McMahon would chew a WWE Superstar out for if they forgot. WWE is all about the moments and possible promotional shots.
The idea was to send waves through the WWE Universe that it's not much of a stretch to believe McIntyre could take out Lesnar and win the title. It just seems McIntyre got a bit carried away, into the emotion of the segment and forgot.
No Wonder Vince Likes Lesnar
The Beast Incarnate takes a lot of heat for being pushed so heavily but when you think about it, there may be few better at selling an idea and opponent than Lesnar. It's hard to be that dominant a star and make your opponent look good in the process.
Lesnar gets a ton of praise, most recently by John Cena, as being a true asset and maybe one of the better performers in the history of the industry. This type of video proves people might be right.
