Liv Morgan Now Facing Just One Charge Following Arrest
A little more than a week before Christmas, Liv Morgan was pulled over and arrested when officers discovered cannabis in her vehicle. Morgan was hit with two charges - one for what was found in her center console, and another for the vape pen discovered in a bag elsewhere in her vehicle which appeared to contain synthetic cannabinoid. Morgan admitted the drugs found in her center console belonged to her, but that she had never seen the vape pen before, and it seems law enforcement believes her.
One Charge Dropped
An update on the charges courtesy of PWInsider has revealed the charge relating to the vape pen has been dropped. No reason was given for the charge being dropped, but it's probably safe to assume Morgan was telling the truth when saying it didn't belong to her. As for the arraignment relating to the one remaining charge against Morgan, which was scheduled for February 12, that has been canceled and a status conference on February 20 has taken its place.
More Details Revealed About Liv Morgan's Arrest Via Official Report
The full breakdown of what happened when Liv Morgan was pulled over have been revealed via the official arrest report. The remaining charge being brought against Morgan later this month is possession of marijuana and it carries a maximum sentence of one year in prison with a $1,000 fine. Conviction will also result in Morgan's driver's license being suspended for six months, and subjection to random drug testing. No indication as to how severe Morgan's punishment will be if found guilty, but it was reported shortly after her arrest that WWE higher-ups were not concerned about the incident.
Morgan's Return To TV
Morgan has been off WWE TV since July 2023, not because of personal issues, but recovering from injuries. The former Women's Champion was expected to be back on TV sometime soon, and apparently, those plans remain unaffected despite Morgan's arrest. Even though this issue won't be resolved until February 20, at the earliest, we may see Morgan make her return to the WWE fold during the women's Royal Rumble match later this month.
I certainly hope reports that WWE hasn't changed its plans for Morgan are true as her career being derailed by something as minor as this would be a real shame. It also seems unlikely she will feel the full weight of the law next month should she be convicted and sentenced. Hopefully this is something Morgan, WWE, and the rest of us never have to think about again after February 20.
