Matthew McConaughey Drops Hint He Could Wrestle For WWE

Matthew McConaughey recently said during the Maria Menounos podcast that he's interested in wrestling with WWE. He may be working on something and while he wouldn't provide too many details, it sounds like there's a plan in place.

McConaughey is a huge wrestling fan. So is Menounos. So, when the two got together on her podcast, it's not surprising the conversation turned to wrestling. Menounos walked through her experience in the business and her desire to get involved with WWE, eventually wrestling at WrestleMania. She then talked about other celebrities getting into other avenues and McConaughey said, "I'll say, not too much cause as you know, can't say too much about these things... but it is something that interests me."

Menounos then said she could totally see him enjoying that experience and says there's nothing like the feeling of stepping into that ring.

What McConaughey is working on, who he's working on it with or when something like this might actually happen is not at all clear. For all anyone knows, this is simply something that has been brought up in a quick conversation by himself and a few others in the industry but hasn't gone beyond that. Still, the actor has been seen a lot lately in photos with WWE Superstars and was a part of the ThunderDome audience with his kids. He's clearly got the drive to see if there's anything that can be done in this industry.

What Would McConaughey Do?

He's been seen backstage before and the next step is getting him in front of the camera and perhaps, somehow into the ring. The question would be, who is it with?

Obviously, he's a huge attraction and WWE would be well served to put him in a key position to draw in as many ratings as possible. That could mean an angle with a top star. Could it be a match? There are a few people in WWE who could probably make that work... AJ Styles anyone?
