Montez Ford Seems To Announce News That Randy Orton Wasn't Hurt On Raw

Some conflicting reports surfaced Monday night after Raw went off the air. During the tag match between The Street Profits and RK-Bro, the finish to the bout appeared to go off the rails when Montez Ford hit a massive frog splash but might have injured Randy Orton. The match quickly ended as Orton rolled to the corner, Ford went for the pin, and Orton was blocked by Angelo Dawkins when he tried to get his foot on the rope to break the pin attempt.

The WWE announce crew called it smart thinking by Dawkins, but it was clear something had gone wrong. The official looked confused and concerned. Riddle came into the ring and wanted to know what was going on, and The Street Profits waited around to get word on what to do next, eventually celebrating their win and the match coming to an end and WWE cutting to a Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens promo.

According to a video that leaked online after the match, Orton appeared to be nursing a shoulder injury as he went to the backstage area. It was clear something wasn't right with the end of their match and many believed The Viper might have been legitimately hurt with some concern it could affect storylines heading into WrestleMania. Fortunately, Ford seems to have tweeted an update without actually providing an official update for fans.

Ford wrote on Twitter, "Pinned a World Champion. Got the Woman. And everyone is healthy. All in one night."

The One Line That Matters

The "and everyone is healthy" line is what really stands out because it seems to hint that Orton is ok. While he doesn't say if Orton is totally free and clear of any injury, it is good news that Orton might not be seriously hurt, especially considering he's got a history of injury issues.

It's hard to know if anyone was to blame for what went down Monday. The frog splash is something Ford has delivered a hundred times and while it's a dangerous move, shouldn't have been cause for concern. Let's hope news reveals that everyone is happy to have walked away from this and all that came of it was an audible being called and a quick finish to a match and nothing more harmful.
