Nia Jax Implies That Some WWE Superstars Are Lying About Being Vaccinated
Ex-WWE Superstar Nia Jax isn't just an anti-vaxxer -- she's also a snitch who may have implicated some of her former colleagues in a federal crime.
Jax (who now goes by her real name, Lina Fanene) took to Twitter on Friday, February 4 to respond to a fan who called her out for her dangerous stance on COVID-19 vaccines. The fan shared a screenshot of an Instagram story posted by Fanene several months ago. The screenshot featured some misinformation regarding vaccines and was clearly designed to deter people from getting the shot.
"I stand by that too. Honey, if you really think that all your favorites don’t feel the same as I do, you’re sadly mistaken. I know a lot of people in many professional sports that just paid & got a real card from a doctor," Fanene wrote.
Fanene didn't mention any names, but her accusation is a serious one and could potentially lead to an internal WWE investigation -- particularly because WWE personnel traveling to the Middle East for the Elimination Chamber premium live event will have to prove their vaccination status before they are allowed to enter Saudi Arabia.

The 37-year-old was signed by WWE in early 2014 and was assigned to their developmental territory NXT. She debuted on the main roster in 2016. Fanene and several of her now-former co-workers were released by WWE on Thursday, November 4 allegedly due to budget cuts necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic (although as we reported, WWE generated $256 Million in revenue last quarter).
Shortly after she was released, Fanene issued a statement in which she insisted her vaccination status was not directly cited as a reason for her dismissal.
"I asked for an extension to my mental health break, feeling that I needed more time, and hoping I would have the ongoing support of the company I have given my all to for the past 7 years. I did not receive a response," she wrote on social media. "The next I heard, I was being released. My vaccination status was never mentioned. I wasn’t given any choices or options.
As we covered, Fanene recently hinted that her refusal to get vaccinated may have played a role in WWE's decision to let her go.
"I just can’t force myself to do something I don’t feel good with. That’s just how I’ve lived my entire life," Fanene said during a recent chat with Renee Paquette on the Oral Sessions podcast.
