Randy Orton Appears To Tell Fans How Much Longer He Plans On Wrestling

All of the hype coming out of Survivor Series has understandably been about CM Punk's shock return. The Second City Saint wasn't the only Superstar to make a comeback on Saturday, though. Randy Orton also returned, wrestling his first match in 18 months and helping his team secure victory in the main event. Quite the match to come back for after having taken so much time off to undergo back surgery, but clearly The Viper feels better than ever.

Ten More Years

Not only does Orton look in fantastic shape, but as he was leaving the arena at Survivor Series, after the cameras had stopped rolling, the 14-time World Champion indicated to the fans in attendance that he plans on wrestling for at least ten more years. Fan-captured footage, which you can check out below, shows Orton turning to the fans before disappearing back through the curtain, holding up both hands and seemingly saying "ten more years".

CM Punk and Randy Orton have both been confirmed as appearing on Monday night's episode of WWE Raw.

It's a minor miracle Orton is back in the ring at all, let alone that he plans on continuing to do what he does for another decade. There was a point during Orton's hiatus when reports surfaced suggesting doctors had recommended Orton not wrestle again. Orton's father Bob Orton suggested at the time that his son likely wouldn't listen to that, and clearly, Cowboy was right. Orton is back, and if he really is going to wrestle for another ten years, he may well be the one who breaks Ric Flair and John Cena's record.

Breaking Records

Flair and Cena are both on 16 World Title reigns each now, and even though Cena has often been the one expected to break The Nature Boy's record, the door is now open for Orton to overtake him. A new World Title has been introduced since Orton left to have back surgery. It's far more likely Orton will win that in the next year or so than the Undisputed Title, even if there are plans for Roman Reigns to eventually lose it in 2024.

Orton appeared to be one of the few people in the ring pleased to see Punk when his music hit to close Survivor Series. Drew McIntyre had already left, reportedly storming out of the arena after grabbing his stuff, and Rollins needed to be restrained, shouting at Punk from the foot of the ramp. Meanwhile, Orton was politely waving at Punk who waved back after hitting The Viper's signature pose.
