Randy Orton Burns The Fiend Alive At TLC
Randy Orton and The Fiend competed in a Firefly Inferno Match at TLC, and it did not end in a way we could have ever anticpated.
When WWE first revealed it would be revisiting Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt's rivalry, many fans will have let out a collective groan. The first time these two went around the horn it didn't exactly work out all that well. A lot has changed since then, though. Orton has had one of the best years of his career, and Wyatt is now The Fiend.
The build to the pair's match at TLC has been intriguing, and earlier this week, WWE made the match a Firefly Inferno Match. To win, one man must set part of his opponent alight. So nothing to be afraid of, right? The two men came to the ring at TLC and once the match had begun, flames emitted from various areas all around the ThunderDome.

The pair then proceeded to beat the tar out of each other, performing finisher after finisher. That wasn't enough though, of course. Someone needed to get burned. Orton came very close to feeling the flames a few times. However, The Viper eventually threw The Fiend backward into the fire, setting Wyatt's evil alter ego alight.
After thrashing around and finding his way back into the ring, The Fiend passed out on the mat and the flames died away. Orton kicked Wyatt's lifeless body, flipped him over, and then acted out his sadistic plan. Orton doused The Fiend in gasoline and dropped a lit match on his beaten opponent. That resulted in WWE's resident evil clown going up in flames as the announcer hysterically questioned what they were watching.
WWE didn't just air someone getting burned alive, of course. If you look closely when Orton is pouring the gasoline, you can see that The Fiend had been replaced with a mannequin of some sort. That didn't make the ending to TLC any less spectacular, though. It was definitely very un-PG of WWE, and perhaps a sign of the direction the company is about to go on. It was also better than anything that happened in Wyatt and Orton's last feud.
