Roman Reigns' First 10 WWE Main Roster Matches, Ranked Worst To Best

Roman Reigns moved from NXT to the main roster at Survivor Series 2012 alongside Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. The Shield ran roughshod for a year and a half, and Reigns competed in a plethora of six-man tag team bouts in the early stages of his main roster run in WWE. However, Reigns often found himself competing against the biggest names that WWE had to offer in 2013.

The Shield built an aura around them and Reigns featured in several matches on Raw and pay-per-view during the first few months of his WWE career. Not every match was memorable, but there were a few breathtaking matches on Reigns' resume that showcased what he had to offer.

10 The Shield Vs. Justin Gabriel, The Great Khali, And Zack Ryder - Raw (3/25/13)

The Shield clashed with Justin Gabriel, The Great Khali, and Zack Ryder in a six-man tag team match on the March 25, 2013, edition of Raw. The Shield were the overwhelming favorites to prevail against Gabriel, Khali, and Ryder, who were at the lower end of the card.

The Shield dominated the match as expected, and Reigns clotheslined Ryder. Ambrose and Rollins combined by executing a double team on Gabriel with Rollins securing the win for The Shield in just under three minutes.

9 The Shield Vs. Kofi Kingston & The Usos - Raw (5/6/13)

Roman Reigns mixed it up with his cousins The Usos in six-man tag team action. Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose collided with The Usos and Kofi Kingston. Moreover, The Shield's chemistry was unrivaled, and they were barely troubled in this bout.

Reigns distracted the referee which allowed Rollins to push Kingston off the top rope. Ambrose connected with an inverted neckbreaker to pick up the victory for The Shield.

8 The Shield Vs. Tons Of Funk & Kofi Kingston - Main Event (4/10/13)

Roman Reigns competed on Main Event for the first time in the opening match of the night. The Shield were pitted with Tons of Funk and Kofi Kingston in a six-man tag team match. Tensai, Brodus Clay, and Kofi Kingston had a positive start to the match but Reigns and Tensai slugged it out.

The Shield began to take control of proceedings, and Kofi Kingston attempted Trouble in Paradise on Ambrose but Reigns distracted him. Rollins connected with a flying knee off the top rope, and Reigns speared Clay, picking up the win in the process.

7 The Shield Vs. Randy Orton, Sheamus, And Big Show - WrestleMania 29

WrestleMania 29 marked the WrestleMania debut of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose. The Shield's opponents were Randy Orton, Sheamus, and Big Show, and the trio of former World Champions was looking to end The Shield's unbeaten streak.

This was the curtain-raiser, and the match went back and forth. However, Reigns connected with a thunderous Spear on Orton. Ambrose scored the victory for The Shield on the Grandest Stage of Them All by covering the Viper.

6 The Shield Vs. Chris Jericho, Ryback, And Sheamus - Raw (2/18/13)

24 hours removed from competing at Elimination Chamber 2013, The Shield was in six-man tag team action once again on Raw, and their opponents were Chris Jericho, Ryback, and Sheamus. Jericho, Ryback, and Sheamus were smart as they isolated Seth Rollins in their side of the ring.

Roman Reigns intercepted Ryback's Shell Shock attempt on Rollins, by spearing Ryback. The crowd was red-hot for the match, and whilst Jericho cinched in the Walls of Jericho on Ambrose, Rollins broke it up with a running knee to the face from the ropes, and Ambrose pinned Jericho for another win for The Shield.

5 The Shield Vs. John Cena & Team Hell No - Raw (5/13/13)

The Shield clashed with the WWE Champion John Cena and the WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No in a six-man tag team elimination match. Kane was the first man to be eliminated as he attacked Dean Ambrose with the cover from the broadcast table.

Cena was on his lonesome but he connected with the AA on Seth Rollins to reduce the deficit. Roman Reigns speared Cena, and he got disqualified as he shoved the referee. Nonetheless, Cena triumphed albeit by disqualification in a hard-fought match.

4 The Shield Vs. John Cena & Team Hell No (4/29/13)

Two weeks before their six-man tag team elimination match, The Shield faced off with John Cena and Team Hell No on the April 29, 2013 edition of Raw. All hell broke loose when all six men collided in the ring.

This was a solid match, and Rollins was encouraging Reigns to put Daniel Bryan away. However, Cena had an injured Achilles, and he was unable to execute the AA on Rollins, Reigns swooped in by spearing Cena and he pinned him earning one of the biggest wins for The Shield.

3 The Shield Vs. Team Hell No & The Undertaker - Raw (4/22/13)

In London, England, The Shield featured in a six-man tag team match against the WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No and The Undertaker. This turned out to be Undertaker's final match on Raw. This was a fantastic 20-minute contest, and Reigns speared Undertaker scoring a near fall.

The brawl spilled onto the outside of the ring with Reigns and Undertaker fighting each other. Ultimately, Daniel Bryan went for his trademark diving headbutt, but he missed with Ambrose scoring the win.

2 The Shield Vs. John Cena, Ryback, And Sheamus - Elimination Chamber 2013

Roman Reigns competed in his first main roster match in a couple of months at Elimination Chamber 2013 in a six-man tag team match. The Shield's adversaries were the 2013 Royal Rumble match winner John Cena, Ryback, and Sheamus.

Cena, Ryback, and Sheamus had everything under control as they tagged in and out, and they isolated Seth Rollins. The Shield showed their fighting spirit by wrestling control of the match, and Reigns speared Sheamus through the barricade. Ryback was close to picking up the win for his team, but Reigns prevented Shell Shock on Seth Rollins, and The Shield earned another monumental win.

1 The Shield Vs. Team Hell No & Ryback - TLC 2012

The Shield made their in-ring WWE debut at TLC 2012 in a six-man TLC match. The Shield was looking to get off the mark with a win, but the WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No and Ryback had something to say about that.

This match was off the charts, and The Shield showed that they are big-time players. Ryback was put through the broadcast table by The Shield with the triple powerbomb, and Reigns secured the win for The Shield as he combined with Dean Ambrose to put Daniel Bryan through the table.
