Roman Reigns Reaches Another Impressive Milestone As WWE Champion

Roman Reignshas reached another milestone as the holder of the WWE Championship.

The Tribal Chief defeated Brock Lesnar in a "Winner Takes All" title unification match at WrestleMania 38 to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. As noted by the Twitter account @WrestleOps, Monday marks six month with Reigns holding the WWE Championship belt.

It's just one of many incredible milestones that Reigns has reached here in 2022. Aug. 30 marked two years since his current Universal Championship reign began. And just a few weeks ago, Reigns' historic streak of not being pinned surpassed the 1,000-day mark. His last pinfall loss came at the hands of King Corbin at the Dec. 15, 2019 TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs pay-per-view.

In just two days, Reigns will hit the 185-day mark as the holder of the WWE Championship. That will surpass Brock Lesnar's 184-day reign, which stands as the third longest of the young 2020s decade. Drew McIntyre holds the record for the longest WWE Championship reign of the decade at 202 days, and Bobby Lashley's first WWE Championship run is the second longest 195 days.

Reigns narrowly defeated Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle 2022 to retain his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Before that, The Tribal Chief got past Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam 2022 in a Last Man Standing bout to conclude their historic rivalry. Reigns has defeated other major superstars and legends during his title reign, including John Cena, two Hall of Famers in Goldberg and Edge, Daniel Bryan and Kevin OWens.

Roman Reigns' Next Title Defense

The Tribal Chief will look to keep his winning streak and two lengthy title runs intact when he defends the championship belts against Logan Paul at the Crown Jewel 2022 pay-per-view. Crown Jewel will take place inside Mrsool Park in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Nov. 5.
