Stone Cold Had A Ring Built At His Ranch Last Year, Fueling Return Rumors

No, it's not a dream. Earlier this week, some pretty solid rumors started to circulate suggesting Stone Cold Steve Austin will wrestle again at WrestleMania 38. It was reported a while ago that Austin would play a role at WrestleMania 38 since the two-night event will emanate from Dallas, Texas. It was assumed he would simply be hosting the show, or perhaps hitting a few stunners and drinking a few beers, what he does best.

A Ring At His Ranch

Now it seems as if Vince McMahon hasn't only asked Austin to wrestle one more match at WrestleMania, but The Texas Rattlesnake has actually accepted. No confirmation from an official party yet, but it seems likely we might see the Hall of Famer wrestle for the first time in 19 years less than two months from now.

Now the rumors and reports have started to circulate, fans have naturally been looking for clues that either confirm or deny Austin is preparing for an in-ring return. One clue that has resurfaced in the last few hours is the ring Austin had built at his ranch in Nevada last year. High Spots stopped by the ranch last August and built the ring, with the former WWE Champion thanking them for building the ring on Twitter.

His First Match Since 2003

That has got some thinking this potential in-ring return has been on the cards for a while. If Austin really is going to wrestle again, he would certainly have needed a lot of notice to prepare. The Texas Rattlesnake's last match was in 2003, a retirement bout against The Rock that fans didn't know would be Austin's last at the time. He's also suffered from knee and neck problems both during his career and after it came to an end.

Another potential indicator that Austin has been preparing to wrestle again is his podcast, or rather the lack of it. After releasing two episodes per week for years, it has now been more than a year since his last new episode. It's worth nothing Edge & Christian stopped their podcast ahead of their returns, and X-Pac's podcast stopped launching weekly episodes prior to his return at the turn of the year.
