The 15 Wrestlers With The Most Wins In SummerSlam History

SummerSlam is WWE's second-biggest pay-per-view of the year and one of the longest-running events in the company's history. Over the years, many renowned stars have competed at the event and a lot of celebrities have made an appearance on the show. The Biggest Party of the Summer has a rich history that features the crowning of multiple champions, debuts and some of the most iconic moments in WWE.

Last year, SummerSlam took place in an empty arena for the first time ever and it was the first PPV event in WWE to be held inside the ThunderDome. The 2021 edition is set to emanate from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in front of a large crowd. As we get ready to witness our favorite wrestlers in action, let's first take a look at the ten wrestlers who hold the record for most victories in SummerSlam history.

10 Christian - 6

Christian Cage

Current AEW wrestler Christian Cage is mostly known for his time in WWE where he is a former World Heavyweight Champion. Captain Charisma is also regarded by many as one of the most underrated superstars in the company's history. However, he still holds an impressive SummerSlam record.

He has competed in a total of nine bouts at the event and won six times. One of his most popular matches at SummerSlam was in 2011 when he collided with Randy Orton in a No Holds Barred match for the world title. Despite Christians' attempts to dethrone The Viper and capture the championship, he failed to win the match.

9 Seth Rollins - 6

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins is currently expected to face WWE Hall of Famer Edge at this year's SummerSlam. This is a dream match that fans will finally get to witness for the first time ever, and it will undoubtedly be very memorable. Rollins has put on a lot of great performances at the Biggest Party of the Summer and he has been very successful at the event.

He has competed in seven matches at SummerSlam and won six of them. His biggest win was in the 2015 chronology where he defeated 16-time world champion John Cena to win the United States Championship while also retaining his WWE Championship. He made history that night by becoming the first person to hold both titles simultaneously.

8 Shawn Michaels - 6

Shawn Michaels in WWE

Shawn Michaels is often referred to by many fans, critics and wrestling insiders as one of the best, if not the best, to ever step into the squared circle. The Heartbreak Kid has wrestled many big stars throughout his celebrated career, with some of those bouts taking place at SummerSlam.

His match with Triple H in 2002 was spectacular and in 2005 with 'The Immortal' Hulk Hogan sounded good on paper although the actual contest didn't set the stage on fire. Michaels has had eleven matches at SummerSlam, and now that he's retired, it's unlikely that we'll ever see him competing at the event again.

7 Brock Lesnar - 6

Every single match that Brock Lesnar has had at SummerSlam was a huge deal. He had his initial match in the 2002 event where he collided with The Rock for the WWE Championship. The following year, he took on Kurt Angle for the coveted title which was also his final SummerSlam match before leaving the company in 2004. In 2012, after he returned to WWE, he battled Triple H at the Biggest Party of the Summer in a No Disqualification match and CM Punk in 2013 with the same stipulation.

In 2014, Brock Lesnar defeated John Cena to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the first time in nearly a decade. Lesnar was defeated by The Undertaker at the 2015 PPV and he brutalized Randy Orton in the proceeding event. His last SummerSlam match was in 2018 where he lost his Universal Championship to Roman Reigns.

6 Kane - 6

Kane in WWE

'The Big Red Monster' Kane has competed in eleven matches at SummerSlam and he holds six victories at the event. In 2000, he collided with his brother The Undertaker in that year's PPV and with Bray Wyatt in a Ring of Fire match in 2015.

Kane will go down as one of the biggest stars in WWE history and a wrestling legend. He was deservedly inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year and had his last match at the Royal Rumble in January. Outside of wrestling, the former WWE Champion is involved in politics and he currently serves as the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee.

5 Randy Orton - 7

'The Viper' Randy Orton has attained a lot of success at SummerSlam. He has faced the likes of John Cena, The Undertaker, Roman Reigns and even Hulk Hogan at the event. His most popular SummerSlam moment, however, was when he defeated Chris Benoit in 2004 to win the World Heavyweight Championship, his first world title in WWE.

This caused his Evolution teammates to turn on him which later resulted in Orton turning face. Randy Orton has wrestled in a total of 15 matches at SummerSlam, which is the second-most in history, only behind The Undertaker. If he competes in this year's event, he'll tie The Deadman's record.

4 Bret Hart - 7

Bret "The Hitman" Hart ties Randy Orton with seven wins at SummerSlam. The former WWE Champion has won seven matches at the event and only lost four times. He has had notable matches with stars such as British Bulldog, who he faced in 1992 for the Intercontinental Championship, Mr. Perfect in 1991, and The Undertaker in 1997.

The Hitman competed in his last match at SummerSlam in 2010 where he teamed up with six other wrestlers in a 14-man tag elimination match, which Hart's group won.

3 Triple H - 8

'The Game' Triple H has had many incredible moments at SummerSlam. He had a memorable ladder match with The Rock in 1998 for the Intercontinental Championship and he defended his WWE Championship against The Great Khali at SummerSlam 2008.

His bout with his longtime friend and former partner Shawn Michaels in 2002 was absolutely spectacular. Another big match was at the 1999 event where The Cerebral Assassin took on Mankind and Stone Cold Steve Austin in a triple threat match. He has competed in thirteen matches at SummerSlam and he came out successful in eight of those bouts.

2 The Undertaker - 10

The Undertaker

The Undertaker has competed at SummerSlam in three different decades. He made his first appearance at the event in 1991 where he attacked "Macho Man" Randy Savage with an urn. He defeated Kamala at the following year's event and Giant Gonzalez in 1993.

The Phenom currently holds the record for most matches in SummerSlam history with 16. He has won ten matches at the event which is the second-highest highest in WWE. After a 30 year career, The Undertaker announced his retirement at Survivor Series last year.

1 Edge - 11

Last, but certainly not least, the superstar with the record for most wins in SummerSlam history is none other than the Rated-R Superstar, Edge. The WWE Hall of Famer has won 11 matches at the event and competed in a total of 13 matches at the PPV, though that could soon change as he's rumored to face Seth Rollins at this year's event.

After a nine-year absence from in-ring competition, Edge returned to WWE last year and so far he has feuded with the likes of Randy Orton and Roman Reigns.
