The Dudley Boyz & 8 Other Tag Teams That No Longer Work Together

Whenever a tag team is created there is clearly a bond set for life. Whether the partners stay friends or they drift apart, fans will always talk about them and connect them due to their history together, especially if they made an impact overall. However, while some teams stay together throughout their whole careers, that isn't the case for everybody.

After a while, tag teams can often drift apart, whether that is in real life as people or just in terms of working together in business. That has taken place plenty of times over the years and right now there are plenty of top tag teams that no longer work together in any form.

9 Dudley Boyz

Bubba Ray Dudley and Devon Dudley compromise one of the greatest tag teams of all time as the Dudley Boyz. They have worked together for many years whether that is in WWE, ECW, or TNA, but sadly right now they are not doing things together.

The two men continued to work as partners since their in-ring runs came to an end as they had their own training school. However, that is no longer the case, with the two men now busy doing different things, even though they have respect for each other.

8 Hardy Boyz

Another legendary tag team that no longer works as a pair are the Hardy Boyz. Matt and Jeff had a great run together in WWE when they returned at WrestleMania 33, but Matt Hardy has since moved on from the company, opting to work with AEW.

Because Jeff Hardy re-signed with WWE, the two men are stuck working in different places. They might end up being able to team again, but that depends on whether or not one man wants to work for a different company.

7 Edge & Christian

To round out the trio of classic tag teams, Edge and Christian also no longer work together in any capacity either. Much like Matt and Jeff, this is down to the fact they work in different places, with Edge still in WWE and Christian being part of AEW.

With both men being back from career-ending injuries, there was an opportunity for them to work together again, but that isn't something that happened. Even their outside-of-the-ring work such as their podcast has also come to an end for them.

6 American Alpha

A slightly more modern team that no longer works together is American Alpha. Unlike many of the other duos, this was a tag team that were ripped apart due to injury. In NXT, Chad Gable and Jason Jordan had a great run and that continued on the main roster.

While they were split due to the Kurt Angle father/son angle, they still had the potential to work together. However, Jordan's neck injury brought an end to his in-ring career, and while he now works behind the scenes, the two men are not together as a team anymore.

5 Too Cool

Too Cool is one of the most iconic groups of all time, but sadly they do not work together anymore. Of course, Brian Christopher, unfortunately, passed away, but Rikishi and Scotty Too Hotty are no longer on the same page.

This is something that boils down to Rikishi's Hall Of Fame induction, where he opted to not reference Christopher or Scotty, despite the impact they had on his career. Scotty called that out at the time, and since then they've not worked together.

4 The Brian Kendrick & Paul London

The Brian Kendrick and Paul London are another duo that is no longer working together, which is seemingly set to be the case forever now with them. Kendrick has a role behind the scenes with WWE, while London is still working the independent scene.

With London and WWE not being on good terms, it is hard to see him ever returning in order for them to have a one-off moment in the future. Therefore this is a duo that will be living in the past.

3 The Vaudevillains

The Vaudevillains had a solid run during their time in NXT, working as NXT Tag Team Champions at one stage. Their run on the main roster was quite forgettable, however, since they have both been released from WWE the two men haven't come back together.

Even though Simon Gotch and Aiden English are friends in real life, they no longer work together. As a team, they could be a good addition to any roster as their style is unique, but it doesn't seem like that is on the cards.

2 CM Punk & Colt Cabana

CM Punk and Colt Cabana had previously teamed up when they were on the independent scene. They were legitimate best friends and had great chemistry together. Nowadays, seeing them together in AEW could be an awesome moment, but that isn't going to happen.

They had a real-life fallout and that is something that is going to keep them apart forever. It is very unlikely that the two men will ever team up again, purely because of the issues that they have with each other behind the scenes.

1 The Hype Bros

Hype Bros

The Hype Bros were brought together in NXT and they also worked together on the main roster. However, since both men have been released, they have decided not to come back as a team and Matt Cardona has made it clear that he doesn't ever want to do that again.

While Cardona has been positive about him as a person, when it comes to the on-screen Mojo character, he doesn't want to work together anymore. While they might not have been a major duo or former champions, they would have been popular together if they were to reunite.
