The Rock Reveals Funny Reason For Always Going Overboard When He Was Hit With Stone Cold's Stunner
Hollywood megastar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has revealed his reason for overselling Steve Austin's Stone Cold Stunner at the height of the Attitude Era.
The Rock and Stone Cold shared one of WWE's greatest-ever rivalries during said period and they provided no end of entertainment. Many wrestlers fell victim to the Stunner - even Vince McMahon got his (probably the most memorable) - yet no one sold it as quite as good as The Rock, who usually flailed and flopped around after catching one.

According to The Great One himself, he started doing that in an attempt to get Austin to laugh and, had it not been for the crowds, fans would probably hear Austin's reaction.
"Good Lord this was an awesome time in pro wrestling," he wrote on Twitter in response to a clip showing a number of instances when he got the Stunner. "Electrifying crowds! đź‘€
the crazy stunner bumps I would take started by me trying to make @steveaustinBSR
laugh. If it weren’t for the crowds going batshit you could here [sic] Steve say “Jesuuuus Chriiist” #ohhellyeah"
The Rock Always Left Everything Out There
The Rock and Austin were the biggest names in wrestling back then, something that worked out very well for WWE as they ushered in a wave of new fans who simply could not get enough of the two stars.
Johnson was clearly the better favored of the two but he made sure to always do what he needed to make Austin, or anyone he went up against for that matter, look good.
