The Undertaker Announced For Starrcast II In Las Vegas

In a big announcement on Thursday, it appears The Undertaker will be showing up at a huge non-WWE event, Starrcast II in Las Vegas. The appearance happens to coincide with the Double or Nothing event taking place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in May, which will undoubtedly lead to speculation of some sort of connection between The Undertaker and AEW.

The announcement comes via Sports Illustrated who is suggesting The Undertaker has reportedly signed a deal to appear at the Starrcast II wrestling convention in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 25. This is the same date of All Elite Wrestling's Double Or Nothing event, and the convention is somewhat affiliated with AEW, but not an official AEW event.

Starrcast founder Conrad Thompson did try to clarify any misinformation that this means Undertaker will be part of that Double or Nothing event when he said, "I know people might assume this is an AEW event, but that is not true. We have wrestlers appearing from every promotion from all over the world, and Starrcast isn't just for All Elite Wrestling fans, it's for all wrestling fans." Knowing that if there was any one wrestler synonymous with WWE, it was likely the Undertaker, Thompson added, "We wanted to bring something unique to Las Vegas, and there isn't anyone more special in this business than The Undertaker."

What This Means

This is surprising news but it shouldn't be shocking news for WWE fans. The Undertaker recently removed WWE references from his social media pages and started accepting bookings for non-WWE appearances. Word is that he is charging $25,000 per hour for appearances.

Undertaker did tease a meeting on social media when he wrote, "Landed late last night... must be meeting with someone important today!" It seems like that meeting was Starrcast related and that the somebody important was Conrad Thompson.
