The Undertaker’s Grim Reaper & 9 More Of The Most Iconic Tattoos In Wrestling
Beginning in the early '90s, tattoos became more and more prevalent in the Sports Entertainment industry. Nowadays, you’ll seldom see body parts not adorned with some sort of ink, and some superstars go all out and tattoo just about every inch of themselves.

As anyone who has tattoos knows, the ink is a part of your look and who you are. Applied to the wrestling business - it’s a part of a wrestler’s brand and appears on all of a superstar’s toys, video games, apparel, you name it and chances are any and all superstars are in it with their ink on full display.
10 Lita’s 3 Eyed Demon
There are several ladies with some ink nowadays, prominently Rhea Ripley and Saraya have huge pieces on their stomachs. Charlotte has several pieces, including a cross on her chest, and Tamina had a tribal design on her arm.
But even today, they still all pale in comparison to Lita’s shoulder piece that became instantly eye-catching (thongs that showed notwithstanding). The three eyed demon is actually a Japanese Oni Demon. She got it on while touring Amsterdam as a young girl.
9 Samoan Familial Patterns
When Peter Maivia became The High Chief, he had a massive tribal design inked on his lower back to both of his upper thighs. He got it the old school way too. Nowadays, tattoos artists use a needle, but the pe'a tattoos are constructed with pieces of bone, turtle shell, & wood, and often takes 3 people to apply.

It’s how the High Chief got his and it’s even how his grandson, Rock got his. It’s not how The Bloodline got there’s, they got their ink in a tattoo shop, but they still represent the roots of the Anoa’i family.
8 The Rock’s Brahma Bull
Speaking of The Great One, as he began his ascent to world domination, he would refer to himself not just as The Great One or The Peoples Champion, but also as The Brahma Bull.
That is reference to the Brahma Bull tattoo he once had during his in-ring career that also became the logo smeared on Rock’s tights, posters, action figures, and his replica title belt. Several years ago, he got the iconic tattoo updated to what he called “the evolution of the bull.”
7 Goldberg’s Tribal
It’s one of the smallest pieces out there, but it also became the symbol of the monstrous Goldberg. In the late 90s, these kinds of tribal designs were all over dudes' arms. Big Bill was no different. It wound up being the logo emblazoned on all of his shirts, even to this day. Goldberg's whole look is one of the better, yet simpler ones in wrestling history, and his tattoos are definitely a big part of it.
6 Rey Mysterio’s Wings
It’s hard to imagine fresh-faced babyface Rey Mysterio from the mid-nineties without a lot of tattoos. A lot of people who have them will tell you just how addictive they can be. If that’s the case than it’s about time Rey (and others) need to seek help.
But seriously, Rey’s addiction also led to The Legendary Luchador adding a huge chest piece to his persona - the very wings that usually adorn his masks.
5 CM Punk’s Pepsi Logo
Now, all of CM Punk’s arms are completely covered in ink.

But when he was just starting out, the renegade iconoclast had one massive one. A Pepsi logo emblazoned on his arm. He got it because of his straightedge lifestyle and his love of the soft drink. When asked once why he has the corporate logo adorning his punk rock self, he would simply reply, “I like Pepsi.”
4 Jeff Hardy’s Roots
As well hope The Charismatic Enigma is truly getting his life together, let’s celebrate one of the things that make Jeff Hardy popular. He’s just a cool guy, seemingly a spiritual one too. Those are aspects of that intangible “it factor” that make Jeff beloved.
That also goes for the guy’s tattoos. One of which is a huge set of roots that extends from his fingers to his torso. The piece harkens to the man’s love of landscaping as well as all of our connections to Mother Earth.
3 Brock Lesnar’s Back Beast
Just looking at Brock Lesnar can send shivers up a lesser man’s spine. The guy looks like a Viking ready to smash anyone that looks at him funny. While the guy didn’t need any tattoos to enhance his terrifying look, but they certainly help!
The biggest and scariest one is the massive demon with hooks clawing into The Beast’s back. It also has become one of the digital logos WWE slaps onto the TV when Lesnar’s music hits.
2 Cody Rhodes’ American Nightmare
When you put a tattoo anywhere, it’s a huge and painful commitment (just ask the Undertaker in re: his ex-wife’s Sara neck tattoo). But there is a huge symbol on the neck of The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes.

He decided to go “all in” on the gimmick and the logo and get it slapped on his neck. That logo is going to help Cody continue to put food on the table for his family as it has become the flag of Nightmare family.
1 The Undertaker’s Grim Reaper
Speaking of The Deadman, of the numerous amounts of tattoos that adorn The Phenom’s near seven-foot frame, the original deadman, as he had called it over the years was once the only visible piece of artwork on The Undertaker’s arm. He was inked up along with Paul Bearer by a man named Smiling Paul. Apparently, the eight-hour session was witnessed by Hell’s Angels members who wanted to catch a glimpse of the legend in the making.
