The Young Bucks' Last 10 Losses, Ranked Worst To Best
The Young Bucks have continuously proved their status as one of the greatest tag teams not only in the world, but arguably of all time. Wrestling classic tag team bout after another, Matt and Nick Jackson never fail to deliver with their incredible style of high-flying, athleticism, and overall, incredibly exciting offense, with excellent character work to boot.

Recently crowned the new AEW Tag Team Champions for the second time, the Bucks are rarely defeated but when they are, it is always momentous. Which losses of the Young Bucks rank as the best in terms of match quality and the story at hand?
10 W/ Brandon Cutler Vs. Laredo Kid, Rey Fenix, & Penta El Zero Miedo, Six-Man Tag, AEW Dynamite #78
A PWG-style six-man tag here between the Bucks alongside Brandon Cutler opposite the Lucha Brothers and Laredo Kid. Blistering action from bell to bell in under fifteen minutes with superb spots throughout as expected any time when the Young Bucks and Lucha Brothers meet. A great showing from Laredo Kid in his second AEW appearance as well, with Brandon Cutler holding his own regardless of lacking the insane athleticism of the other competitors. Laredo Kid would secure the win over Cutler in a very fun six-man tag bout.
9 Vs. Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy, AEW Double Or Nothing 2022
While not living up to their previous encounters in Ring of Honor, this was still a very good opening match at AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV this year between the Hardys and the Bucks. Some sloppy moments early particularly from Jeff Hardy (who was later announced to be concussed early on) but the two teams recovered to deliver a strong showing with a stellar final few minutes. The crowd was hot for the Hardys as always with the Bucks heeling it up expertly, with big-time spots featured throughout but timed extremely well. Still a very good match-up but not the level viewers had hoped for.
8 W/ El Phantasmo Vs. Darby Allin, Shingo Takagi, & Sting, Six-Man Tag, AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door
An incredibly fun, great six-man tag at the most recent AEW PPV, collaborating with New Japan Pro Wrestling at Forbidden Door. Sting made a grand entrance here diving onto the three men as The Bucks relived their Bullet Club days alongside El Phantasmo.

Exciting action from start to finish with a hot crowd to boot, with very entertaining antics from the heels here. Each competitor looked great in their role particularly Shingo and Sting in a perfectly executed, blistering six-man tag. Takagi would prevail for his team with the Last of the Dragon in a splendid match-up.
7 Vs. Eddie Kingston & Penta El Zero Miedo, AEW World Tag Team Title Eliminator Match, AEW Dynamite #92
Great match between the Bucks and the excellent pairing of Eddie Kingston and Penta El Zero Miedo to open this June 2021 edition of Dynamite. Blistering action from start to finish with fantastic heel work from the Bucks opposite the fiery Kingston and Penta, with a hot crowd to boot.

Great spots, suspenseful near falls, and a stellar closing stretch with logical interference, as Kingston and Penta overcame the odds to defeat the Young Bucks and earn an AEW Tag Team Championship shot against them. Chris Jericho on commentary was the icing on the cake here in a splendid tag team opener.
6 W/ Adam Page, Kenny Omega, Cash Wheeler, & Dax Harwood Vs. Alan Angels, Brandon Cutler, Colt Cabana, Evil Uno, Brodie Lee, & Stu Grayson, Twelve-Man Tag, AEW Dynamite #44
An excellent, huge twelve-man tag bout between FTR alongside The Elite and the Dark Order on this July 2020 edition of Dynamite, with the twelve men somehow intertwining fluid, fast-paced action in the ring with notably stellar moments of storytelling particularly involving FTR and Hangman/Omega. A great finish here as well, as Page narrowly missed his tag team partner Omega furthering their tension, only to be hit by a vicious Discus Clothesline by Mr. Brodie Lee as the Dark Order prevailed. Great stuff top to bottom.
5 W/ Adam Cole Vs. Christian Cage, Jungle Boy, & Luchasaurus, Six-Man Tag Falls Count Anywhere, AEW Full Gear 2021
A barnstormer of a six-man tag match at last year’s Full Gear PPV, this was unbelievably exciting from start to finish in a spot fest of epic proportions. Blistering action, breathtaking spots, wild brawling, a white-hot crowd, the six men took advantage of the Falls Count Anywhere stipulation in tremendous fashion. While lacking strong storytelling and psychology given the nature of the bout, this was still a spectacular showing from all six men as Christian Cage & Jurassic Express emerged victorious.
4 W/ Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood Vs. Pentagon Jr., Rey Fenix, The Blade, & The Butcher, Eight-Man Tag, AEW Dynamite #40 – Fyter Fest 2020: Night 2
This was a magnificent eight-man tag bout with a blistering pace as The Bucks and FTR teamed up in a fascinating dynamic. The in-ring action was utterly fantastic from start to finish with wild, jaw-dropping spots throughout with a Canadian Destroyer from Rey Fenix to Nick Jackson onto everyone else outside the ring being particularly breathtaking. A spot fest but a perfectly executed one at that, with every competitor delivering in their role splendidly. The storytelling at hand with the Bucks and FTR was also excellent as the two teams worked together extremely well, but it would be Pentagon Jr. securing the win in a Dynamite barnstormer.
3 Vs. Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler, ROH & AAA World Tag Team Championship, AEW Dynamite #132
This was an extraordinary second meeting between the Bucks and FTR on this year's April 6th edition of Dynamite. With the crowd red-hot for FTR flipping the character dynamic from their first encounter, this was exactly what viewers expect from these two teams in a sensational display of tag team wrestling.

Fantastic exchanges, counters, tag team psychology, intensity, this possessed it all with a blistering final few minutes of drama as FTR prevailed to retain in a classic Dynamite main event.
2 Vs. Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus, Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly, Triple Threat Tag, AEW Tag Team Championship, AEW Revolution 2022
This triple threat tag team match for Jurassic Express’ AEW Tag Team Championship was phenomenal in every sense with a diverse clash of styles. With a red-hot PPV crowd at AEW’s Revolution earlier this year, the three teams tore the house down with superb in-ring action paced to perfection interwoven with jaw-dropping spots, near falls, and unpredictability as Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus prevailed to retain in a classic AEW Tag Team Championship bout.
1 Vs. Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix, Steel Cage 2 On 2, AEW Tag Team Championship, AEW All Out 2021
This was an instant classic between the Bucks and Lucha Brothers at last year’s All Out PPV, with the two teams clashing in a Steel Cage bout for the AEW Tag Team Championship. Once again displaying their legendary chemistry, this was a masterclass of tag team wrestling with incredible sequences, intensity, and creativity. The spots throughout were jaw-dropping particularly Fenix’s dive from atop the cage, as the drama heated up with the crowd roaring. In the end, the Lucha Brothers would conquer the Bucks to be crowned AEW Tag Team Champions in one of the greatest matches in AEW’s history.
