During the 2002 bout, Edge received a forearm uppercut from Gurrero and bumped a ladder. He claims he heard a crack, which he thought was the ladder, but was actually his neck. Edge was forced to miss a year after having neck surgery after the match. The botched bump would contribute to the Spinal Stenosis that ended his career in 2011.
9 Suicide Senton to Jose Estrada Jr.
Edge made his WWE television debut on an episode of Raw in 1998. He battled Jose Estrada Jr. in the debut match that ended in absolute disaster. Less than a minute into the match, Edge performed a Suicide Senton that was botched upon reception from Estrada. The move ended up breaking Estrada's neck, ending his career in the WWE.

During an episode of Saturday Night Main Event in 2006, Edge tried to perform a Superplex on John Cena, but both stars ended up falling off the top rope. The match ended in a DQ finish where Edge retained his WWE Championship, but the botch stood out in the quick match.
7 The Batista Head Butt
Sometimes a move that is supposed to look like a botch ends up turning into an actual botch. On an episode of Raw, Edge and Batista were supposed to botch a double Spear and make it look like they bumped heads during the 2008 Draft Battle Royal. Instead, it was very clear that neither man hit the other and Batista made matters worse by clearly giving a blade back to the ref after the botched move.
6 Edge Misses Orton
The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic changed everything about the WWE. The company did away with live audiences and used video screens of fans for all programming. Edge and Randy Orton wrestled in a match on Raw where the absence of the crowd led to an extra focus on the match. Edge clearly missed Orton on a punch that Orton sold. The absence of an audience helped the botch become one of the clearer botches of Edge's career.
5 The Cameras Miss Edge's First Spear In Eight Years
Edge's return to WWE at the 2020 Royal Rumble was one of the biggest surprises in the history of the company. Any fan who remembers this moment does not remember the first Spear that Edge performed in the match. After making his big entrance, Edge ran into the ring and hit Dolph Ziggler with a Spear.
It's unclear if the WWE cameras botched their position or if Edge hit the Spear in the wrong spot, but the moment was not televised thanks to a camera cut. The Spear was not a botch and was sold well by Ziggler although the presentation of the move was a total botch.
4 Edge Breaks Christopher Nowinski's Nose
Christopher Nowinski (aka Chris Harvard) is a neuroscientist that once wrestled for the WWE. He and Edge never wrestled a single match against each other but did meet in the ring at the 2003 Royal Rumble.
Edge and Rey Mysterio were supposed to perform dropkicks off of the top rope. Edge jumped late and ended up landing on Christopher Nowinski's face, breaking his nose. The botch is deeper than it seems when fans remember that concussions ended Nowinski's wrestling career.
3 Brodus Clay Spear
Although Edge is not the first person to use the Spear, he did help the move become iconic during the Ruthless Aggression Era. The move also greatly contributed to Edge's retirement from wrestling in 2011. A week before he announced his retirement, Edge hit Brodus Clay with a Spear outside of the ring that clearly left him in pain.
2 Edge Misses The Stomp On Seth Rollins
One of the best rivalries of Edge's career was his feud with Seth Rollins in 2021. The best match of their feud was also their last match which took place at Crown Jewel 2021. During the Hell in a Cell match, Edge flipped the script on Rollins by performing a Curb Stomp.
The move was clearly botched as Edge placed his foot on Rollins' shoulder although Seth sold the head movement of a Curb Stomp. It was one of the few major botches of their great rivalry.
1 Edge Spear/Hugs Chris Jericho
Edge's Spear has allowed him to win 11 World Titles during his WWE career. Not every Spear is iconic as his Spear on Jeff Hardy off the top of a ladder at WrestleMania 17. In fact, one of the worst spears of his career was performed on Chris Jericho in 2010. In the build-up to Night of Champions 2010, Edge turned his back on Jericho by performing a Spear. The botched Spear looked more like a soft hug than a devasting move from a legend.
