Tyler Bate Is The New NXT UK Champion, As Spoiled By NXT
Tonight’s episode of NXT featured the event “Heatwave.” The packed card featured three title matches; Mandy Rose defended her NXT Women’s Championship against Zoey Stark, Carmelo Hayes defended the NXT North American Championship against Giovanni Vinci, and Bron Breakker defended the NXT Championship against JD McDonagh (formerly known as Jordan Devlin). All three champions retained their titles.

Gallus, the team of Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey and Wolfgang attacked Roderick Strong and the Diamond Mine. Blair Davenport (formerly known as Bea Priestley) confronted Indi Hartwell. The most notable encounter, however, closed out the show.
The (Future?) Champ Is Here
After the main event finished, the apparent NXT UK Champion, Tyler Bate, came out to confront the NXT Champion, Bron Breakker. The only problem with this is that Tyler Bate hasn't officially won the NXT UK Championship.
The former champion, Ilja Dragunov, had to relinquish the title due to injury. NXT UK planned a tournament to crown a new NXT UK Champion in his place. This tournament is currently underway, at least according to the episodes that fans have been able to watch.
NXT UK is a pre-taped show. Presumably, the episode where Tyler Bate wins the tournament has already been recorded, but it hasn't aired yet. This effectively means that NXT has spoiled its own show to its fans.
With this victory, Tyler Bate has now become the first-ever two-time NXT UK Champion. Bate's first time winning the title crowned him as the inaugural UK Champion back in 2016. Now, 6 years later, the belt has come back to the Big Strong Boy (or, at least it will be coming back to him).
