Wade Barrett Offers To Book Rusev In The UK, On One Condition
Wade Barrett has offered to book Rusev on a UK show if he ends up getting released from WWE, but he has to bring something with him.
What exactly is going on with the relationship between Rusev and WWE is pretty unclear as of right now following a week of twists and turns. The rumor mill was working over time prior to WrestleMania as apparently The Lion Of Bulgaria threatened to leave the company. Placing him on the WrestleMania card seemed to remedy that.
It was not a happy Rusev Day in the Superdome on April 8th though as Jinder Mahal won the United States Championship. A few days later though Rusev was given a very big spot on the upcoming Greatest Royal Rumble card. The Bulgarian Brute was due to have a casket match with The Undertaker in Saudi Arabia, however 24 hours later he was unceremoniously replaced by a returning Chris Jericho.

What exactly has prompted this turn around is unclear although WWE are playing it up as part of an angle involving Rusev's wife Lana requesting he be removed from the match. After being switched for Y2J Rusev tweeted 'life is life..... it will be Rusev Day somewhere'. Naturally fans have been pretty supportive of Rusev before and after the last week's events including his old friend Wade Barrett.
Barrett replied to the above tweet from Rusev letting him know that he could get him a booking at Defiant Wrestling over in the UK. The Lion Of Bulgaria will have to come through with a very unique request from Barrett though, he needs to bring a tank. Not any tank either, the one that Rusev rode to the ring for his iconic entrance at WrestleMania 31.
Judging by what is happening with Rusev in WWE right now it wouldn't be a surprise if the two of them do part ways sometime soon. The Bulgarian probably won't want to stop wrestling altogether though and independent promotions around the world will be chomping at the bit to get him on their shows. Perhaps a good starting point would be the booking that his former League Of Nations partner has offered up, although getting that tank out of WWE's storage facility might prove to be a little tricky.
