The last stop for the heated rivalry between Randy Orton and The Fiend was determined as the two competitors were scheduled to face each other at WrestleMania 37. Randy Orton made his way to Raymond James Stadium and was ready to put the New Face of Fear and his twisted ally in their place once and for all.

However, Bray Wyatt was already in Orton's mind right from the beginning. The backstage area footage saw Wyatt walking through the smoke and being completely replenished and restored to his original form of The Fiend gimmick. Furthermore, as The Viper awaited his arrival, a giant box was instead brought out to ringside with Alexa Bliss coming out as well, and beginning to rotate its giant handle.

Right after Alexa Bliss pushed the handle to the end, the rejuvenated Fiend emerged from the giant box, much to Randy Orton's shock. Wyatt immediately dived on Orton with the red lights illuminated the entire stadium. The match was an exciting back and forth between the two top stars until the final twist came that no one expected. Alexa Bliss made an appearance on top of the box during the match's final seconds, with a black liquid pouring down her face in an act of betrayal for The Fiend and gave Orton the opportunity to win with the RKO. The Fiend and Bliss locked eyes for a moment, however, the lights went out and both of them vanished as they came back.

This turned out to be the final appearance of The Fiend in WWE, as Bray Wyatt was released from WWE shortly afterwards. The magnanimous impact that The Fiend laid on the entire landscape during his two years of terror ended in the most disastrous fashion, with no chance of redemption as Bray Wyatt has already stated that The Fiend is gone forever.
