Will Taylor Swift Cancel For Rain?
This year celebrates the Sixteen Candles of Taylor Swift’s illustrious career. Her latest studio album, Midnights, reflects her journey through night terrors and sweet dreams in the middle of the night. This collection of 13 songs maps her dichotomy throughout her career and the obstacles she faced in her work and love life.
She choreographed the Eras tour to commemorate her unapologetic trajectory, denoting each era of her released albums. This homage is a special gift to Swifties, reminiscing the good old days. The tour started with the first show in Glendale, Arizona, on March 17. Ever since then, she has been performing per schedule in new cities.
Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour
The Nashville tour kicked off on Friday with a scheduled 3-night concert in the city. Ever since the announcement, Nissan Stadium has been throbbing with anticipation from eager Swifties. The organizers constantly update the fans on every arrangement through their social media handles.
What Happens If It Rains at Taylor Swift Concert?
Taylor Swift is not new to harsh weather conditions. The Grammy-award singer showed her professional aura even in a soaked performance in 2018. Her MetLife Stadium concert in New Jersey was nothing short of iconic in the pouring rain.
The concerts are never canceled if the weather complies with only rainfall. However, the weather policy suggests that if lightning strikes within 8 miles of the stage, the concert must be halted immediately, and the fans are asked to obey the ‘Shelter-in-place’ orders. The show shall resume only if there is no lightning after 30 minutes.
Some stadiums do not allow umbrellas inside, which may block the sight line. The fans are asked to carry a poncho or rain gear to cover.
What Happened on the Last Day of Nashville Tour?
Nashville News Weather announced an alert for swiftly approaching lightning and rains towards Nissan Stadium at approximately 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The Nissan Stadium soon took to Twitter, requesting the fans to take ‘Shelter-in-place’ until the weather clears.
Due to lightning in the area, Nissan Stadium will remain under Shelter in Place until the current storm passes. We anticipate Taylor Swift taking the stage at a delayed start time. ⛈
More information will be released ASAP. #NashvilleTSTheErasTour

The organizers work with the National Weather Service and the National Office of Emergency Management to concur on whether the concert should continue.
Just a little longer, Swifties! 🫶
Remember to stay safe while we’re still under Shelter in Place. We continue to wait for lightning to pass. We will provide more updates as they are available. #NashvilleTSErasTour

The shelter-in-place ordinance states that people should remain indoors or take a closed shelter space until an all-clear is issued.
After almost four hours of waiting, Nissan Stadium spread a joyous cloud on Twitter-
Drop everything now! Meet me in the pouring rain!
Shelter in Place has officially been lifted! Fans, please start safely making your way to your seats. Once production wraps up, Taylor Swift will hit the stage! #NashvilleTSTheErasTour

Even the NWS confirmed the good news in its own way-
I bring you good news, weather peeps. Ready for it? The storms are weakening considerably and there is currently no lightning threat for downtown Nashville. There will be showers in the area lasting into the overnight hours, but the strongest cells will be in areas further south.

With quick action from the organizers, the concert was back on. Taylor Swift resumed the stage at 10 p.m.
Meanwhile…Swifties being their optimistic selves.
Over 70,000 fans unanimously embraced a cheerful attitude even in the pouring rains, showing the true spirit of being a Swifty.
Who Are the Opening Acts in Eras Concert?
There is a long list of talented musicians opening for the Eras Tour. However, when Phoebe Bridgers performed her opening act, Nashville got a special treat, and Matty Healy jumped on the stage to join her. Swifties were particularly surprised as Healy is Taylor’s new rumored beau. Gracie Abrams is also scheduled to perform.
However, due to the 4-hour delay, the opening acts were canceled for the last day of the Nashville tour.
Other notable musicians in previous concerts include Paramore, Haim, Beabadoobee, Girl in Red, Muna, Gayle, and many more.
