WWE Hall Of Famer Thinks Bray Wyatt Will Be A Major Star In His Next Stop
It's been five months since WWE unexpectedly released Bray Wyatt from his WWE contract.
Fast forward to the end of the year, and Wyatt remains unsigned. His 90-day non-compete clause expired on Oct. 29, so he's been free to sign with another promotion of his liking for a while now. It was recently reported that AEW actually had plans to bring Wyatt in, and his potential debut was seemingly teased earlier this month on Dynamite, but nothing has transpired thus far.
Wherever Wyatt lands next, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley greatly believes that the two-time Universal Champion stands to enjoy great success in his next promotion.
"Oh, wherever he decides to go will benefit from him being there. And that’s great to know," Foley said in an interview with Metro. "When somebody has success and an amazing pop and reaction – like Ruby Soho – it just shows you. Because (thinking of) mental health, you get that call from WWE that your time is up, that used to be seen as a death knell on a career. And now people are like, 'Hey I get to go somewhere else and ply my craft'. I like the idea that there’s other places available."
It was reported back in September that Impact Wrestling was actually the likely landing spot for the 34-year-old Wyatt, but nothing major has developed on that front. AEW President and CEO Tony Khan has expressed interest in speaking to Wyatt, who's currently working on a movie with friend Jason Baker.

Several factors were cited behind WWE's decision to release the longtime fan favorite. Apparently, Vince McMahon came to dislike Wyatt because the latter was openly critical of WWE creative; it was also reported that Wyatt had attitude issues. Wyatt was reportedly making several million dollars annually on his contract with WWE before the company opted to release him.
Bray Wyatt's Final Appearances With WWE
Wyatt's final WWE match took place in day two of WrestleMania 37 in Tampa Bay, Florida. He was betrayed by Alexa Bliss, which led to Randy Orton defeating him quickly via pinfall. Simply put, it was a rather uneventful end to the Wyatt-Orton feud that had been carefully and creatively built up.
On the ensuing episode of Monday Night Raw, Wyatt announced in a "Firefly Fun House" segment that he was seeking a fresh start. Little did the WWE Universe know at the time that this would serve as his final televised WWE apparance.
