WWE Hires Famed Horror Writer As New Long-Term Of Creative Director

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is reporting that WWE has made a fairly significant hire this week. The company was looking to bring in someone that could work exclusively on long-term creative ideas and that person is reportedly Rob Fee, who is a famous horror writer and has written comic books for Marvel, along with Disney shows, and has been a producer for some of Hollywood's top stars.

Fee will be responsible for working with WWE on longer-term ideas and Sapp reports, "Personally, I've heard nothing but good things within the company about WWE's new Director of Longterm Creative hire. Almost entirely behind the buzz that the QR codes brought about." Perhaps and not coincidentally he is a friend of Bray Wyatt. As expected, that has led to more speculation that Wyatt is behind the White Rabbit teases and that Fee might have been a big player in how that was all rolled out.

One of the knocks on WWE in recent years was that they had little-to-no continuity in their creative and that long-term storylines were practically non-existent. This hiring is clearly meant to improve that reputation and it's great for WWE talent who would like to know where their characters are going.

This Is A Great Idea By WWE

Logically, if a pre-scripted storyline is not working out, the company will pivot, but this will give them the opportunity to plan out ideas and really sink their teeth into the creativity of their characters. This is clearly a strategy that has worked with the success of the White Rabbit teases and talk that Triple H would like to do more of these types of roll-outs.

As for who Fee will be working with next, that's going to be anyone's guess but one might imagine that talent will be pitching ideas to him left, right, and center.
